Indian Institute of Management (IIMS) conducts a Common Admission Test (CAT 2020), a national-level entrance exam on a rotational basis every year. CAT Eligibility Criteria
The CAT is primarily conducted for those seeking admission to MBA/PGDM courses offered by IIM’s and B-Schools across India. The CAT exam is conducted in November and the application filling process begins in August. The CAT 2020 exam date is announced by the IIM who are conducting the CAT exam.
Candidates appearing for the CAT exam 2020 need to refer the eligibility criteria before applying for these programs. The eligibility criteria are as under:
Candidates should be a graduate with a minimum of 50% marks aggregate. The candidate’s degree must be from a recognized Educational Board/University of India.
The candidates must score at least 50 % marks in Graduation or Equivalent in any stream.
Any candidate being in their final year of Graduation or awaiting results.
Candidates must have professional degrees such as CA/CS/ICWA with at least 50 % marks as aggregate.
Candidates who are from SC/ST/PwD categories must score 45% marks as aggregate in graduation or equivalent in any stream.

Candidates can refer the CAT exam 2019 Pattern for this year’s exam pattern prescribed by the IIM’s. The CAT question paper is divided into three sections.
The questions will be in multiple-choice questions and Type in Answer formats respectively. The number of MCQ’s will be more than the TITA questions.

The three sections of the question paper – Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability. The total number of questions are 100 and these are made in MCQ and Non-MCQ formats.
The time allotted for completing the exam is 180 minutes (approx.3hours). There is a time limit of 60 minutes (approx.1 hour) for each section. The exam will conclude online.
If there is any change in the CAT exam pattern, the concerned exam authorities will inform at the release of the CAT 2020 notification.

Important Points for the CAT Exam 2020 Pattern
You are permitted to use the onscreen calculators for any calculation.
The availability of onscreen clocks will help the candidate to keep within time limit.
Rough papers will be provided for any rough work by the candidate and should submit these rough papers to the invigilator upon completion of the exam.

CAT 2020 Exam Cut Off Marks
