WBJEE in short for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is being conducted for 2020-21 session by the concerned Board for admission to undergraduate courses. The undergraduate courses such as Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture is open for aspiring students in Govt. Colleges and Self-Financed Institutes in the State.
The Application Form for the Entrance Examination will be received online through our portal https://wbjeeb.nic.in/ from 18/10/19 to 13/11/2019 midnight.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE APPLICATION
The candidates are instructed to go through the Information Bulletin carefully before applying for the examination. An application once received, will be interpreted as, candidate’s agreement to all the terms & conditions, rules and regulations stipulated in the Information Bulletin and Notices published by the Board.
- Kindly be aware that any applicant not adhering to the conditions in the Information Bulletin is liable to be rejected.
- Applications for WBJEE 2020 must be done online only. No printed application form is available.
- Ensure that filling of the application form is genuine and of recent details at www.wbjeeb.nic.in
- It is essential for the applicant to have a Valid email-id and registered mobile number. All future communications would be sent to this registered mobile number and email-id.
- WBJEE will not be responsible for non-receipt of the applicant for communications if the mobile number is changed or the email-id is wrong or non-existing or non-functional or even changed.
- Once you fill in your registration details like father’ name, mother’s name, etc., it cannot be changed/modified/edited under any circumstances. So be careful and fill in correctly. Matching the details is necessary prior to appearing for the exam.
- Do not attempt for any duplicate application form.
- Never share your application number, password, security question/answer with anyone.
- Follow the Information Bulletin for uploading the scanned photo and signature.
- If any candidate receives an email or SMS regarding any discrepancy in the uploading of Photo or signature, then he/she must take corrective steps immediately within one day.
- The Application Fees for WBJEE 2002 is Rs.700/- for General Candidates & Rs.500/- for SC/ST/OBC Candidates along with Bank Service charges as applicable.
- Once the Online payment is completed, the system automatically generates the Confirmation Page to be downloaded. If the Confirmation Page is not generated, it is an indication of incomplete payment. In such a case, the candidate has to make the payment again.
- Candidates should not wait for the last day to make the complete payment. The keeping of Confirmation Page is necessary for later use. They are supposed to visit the site www.wbjee.nic.in/wjbeeb.in to stay updated on a regular basis.

Guidelines for Filling in Online Application Forms
- The Candidates name should be of maximum 46 characters and qualifications as registered in 12th class or equivalent.
- The Candidate’s Father’ name should be of 46 characters and qualifications as mentioned in the 12th class or equivalent. Salutations like Mr., Mrs. etc should not be used.
- The Candidate’s Mother’ name should be of 46 characters and qualifications as mentioned in the 12th class or equivalent. Salutations like Mr., Mrs. etc should not be used.
- Date of Birth should always be in DD/MM/YYYY format.
- Proof of ID such as Student ID, Voter ID, Passport No., Bank A/c no.s and others.
- Identification Marks.
- Gender of the Candidates need to be filled in.
- Address proofs such as residential proofs and a valid PIN Code.
- Registered Mobile Number and Email -id.
- Log in Id and valid password details at the registration time.
- Security Questions to identify your account.
- Domicile Proofs and Category certificates and
- Caste Certificates.
- Qualification details of 10+2 standards or equivalent from a recognized Board/University.
EXAMINATION Rules
Candidates should arrive the exam centres at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
No other candidate will be allowed to sit for the test at the Test Centre, other than the one allotted to him/her.
Any candidate found occupying a seat other than the one reserved for him/her will be reported and his/her test cancelled.
Carrying of the following documents is necessary:
- A hard copy of the Admit Card.
- A copy of the colour photo uploaded during the online application form submission.
- Any Photo identity card in original – Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID card, 10+2 standard certificate, and school -id card.
Candidates should be seated at least 15 minutes before the test begins.
Frisking may be carried out to avoid carrying of electronic devices and other such prohibited devices.
No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam hall until the exam time gets over.
Question Booklets will be distributed before the exam time. Take out the OMR Sheet without breaking the seals of the question booklet and check if the OMR Number and question Booklet numbers are the same. If not ask the invigilator to replace the whole set from the same series.
Take care to put your signature on the top of the question booklet.
Write the question booklet number and roll number at the appropriate places on the OMR sheet. Any wrong entry of the question booklet and roll number will lead to rejection and wrong scoring for which the Board will not be responsible.
Check that the roll number, photo and name are correct I the attendance sheet.
If any correction is needed, bring to the notice of the invigilator.
If any examinee is found impersonating, he/she will be handed over to the police and the candidature will be cancelled.

Model Answer Keys will be published in February 2020. Candidates can check their WBJEE Answer Key via online mode.
Students can challenge the model answer key through an online mode. Candidates will have to pay Rs. 500/- per question to challenge the answer key.
Processing Fee is remitted through net banking/debit card/ credit card and e-challan. Final answer keys will be released in the third week of February 2020.
WBJEE 2020 RESULTS
WBJEE will publish the Results online in the website. The results will be announced in the fourth week of March 2020.
Scanned images of OMR’s and Machine read responses will be uploaded within two or three weeks after the examination. Candidates can view the responses through their login.
WBJEE rank card will be published as the final WB JEE Rank cards. The Specified Rank card will contain the relevant ranks, total score and component scores in both papers. Candidates can download their rank card through login.
Candidates are supposed to visit the Online portal of WBJEE and enter the application number and password to download the WBJEE result 2020.
The results can be checked only online. Other modes of checking the results are disabled and not provided. Rank Cards will be published along with the declaration of results online.
The result card published in Final which will contain all relevant ranks, total score and component scores in paper-I (Mathematics) and paper-II (physics & Chemistry).
WBJEE 2020 Admit Card
Admit card for WBJEE has been notified on 24th January 2020. Safe keeping of admit cards is necessary to complete the admission process. The Admit Card of WBJEE has been made available online.
Candidates are issued the admit card based on the information provided by the candidates. Candidates must have their admit card preserved for the exam day.
Duplicate Admit cards for candidates would need an application to the Board and pay a processing fee of Rs. 500/- through bank draft in the favour of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable in Kolkata.
WBJEE 2020 Exam Pattern
The detailed WBJEE exam pattern for examination is given below:
- The entrance test will be conducted by OMR in offline mode.
- The examination is divided into two papers, i.e. Paper I is Mathematics and Paper II are Physics & Chemistry.
- The test will be conducted in two shifts, i.e. morning shift from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and afternoon shift from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
- The question paper contains multiple choice questions with four options against each question.
- Candidates must use blue/black ball point pen to answer the questions.

WBJEE CUT-OFF
Cut off marks for the month of March 2020 will be published on the website. Cut off marks are decided by the board and marking term.
Cut off marks are lid out by the authorities based on the availability of vacant seats, marking schemes, difficulty level of exam, previous years cut off, reserved categories and total number of appearing candidates.
Candidates have to score the minimum cut off marks to qualify for the exam. Based on the cut off marks, the board prepares a merit list for the candidates to participate in the counselling. The authority releases the cut off ranks in the form of opening and closing ranks.
Category wise Cutoff
The authority releases the category-wise and branch-wise cut off ranks on the website. All ranks will be published in the form of opening and closing ranks. These ranks decide the eligibility of the candidates for the admission.
Those candidates whose rank lies between the given ranks are allowed to participate in the counselling. The cut off marks are different for each category and for each institution.
Once the cut off marks are declared after the results, he/she will be eligible to participate in the counselling or not.
WBJEE 2020 Rank List
The board releases the WBJEE Rank list 2020 along with the publication of the results. The results are based on the papers cut off marks appeared in the exam and by the marks scored in the exam by the candidates.
Candidates whose name appears in the rank list are eligible to appear for the counselling.
WBJEE 2020 Counselling Procedures
Candidates who are awarded a rank in the entrance test are eligible to participate in the counselling process. WBJEE Counselling will be conducted online.
The course-wise and institute wise availability of seats will be published online on the website. The candidate’s documents will be verified at the reporting centre on the specified dates mentioned.
Seats once allotted, will need to be filled in by the candidate, by reporting to the exam centre to complete the admission procedure.

Q. Is there any attempt limit to apply for this exam?
A. There is no attempt limit for WBJEE 2020 examination.
Q. Can I make any corrections in the Application Form?
A. Yes, the Board provides application form corrections from 14th to 16th November 2019.
Q. What is the Syllabus for the WBJEE 2020 examination?
A. The Syllabus consists of mathematics, physics and chemistry as prescribed in the syllabus for WBJEE 2020 exam.
WBJEE Application Fee Form 2020
- No printed application forms will be made available to candidates. So, they have to apply online for WBJEE exam.
- The WBJEE 2020 Application Form had been released from 18th October 2019.
- All applicants must have a mobile number and a unique email ID to fill in the application form.
- Any duplicate application form or incomplete application forms will be rejected.
- All Candidates need to upload their scanned images of photograph and signature.
- Any candidate can make WBJEE Correction in the details filled in the application form (except the registration details) in the correction window.
- Candidates must keep the printout of the confirmation page safe for further use.
WBJEE 2020 Application Fees
- An application fee of Rs. 700/- is to be paid for General candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/OBC- A/OBC-B candidates, plus the Bank’s service charges.
- The fee can be remitted through credit card, debit card or net banking.
- During the counselling, students who attended JEE(Main) 2020 (i.e. the candidates who did not appear for WBJEE 2020) have to pay Rs. 500/- as the registration fees.
WBJEE 2020 Exam Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be an Indian citizen.
- The official age limit is 17 years as on 31st December 2020.
- A minimum age limit is 17 years as on 31st December 2020. Candidates must be born on or before 31st December 2003.
- The Marine Engineering course needs an upper age limit of 25 years as on 31st December 2020. No upper age limit for other courses.
