XAT or Xavier Aptitude Test is a university level entrance exam conducted by XLRI on behalf of XAMI. XAT is the 2nd largest MBA Entrance Exam after CAT and is considered to be the toughest exams for MBA in India.
The exam is aimed at students seeking admission to management education. The entrance exam offers a door of learning opportunities to the top B-schools across India.

REGISTRATION PROCESS
Initial registration for XAT 2020 has been extended to the 10th December 2019. Registrations have started online. The Application Form was released on 23rd August 2019. All interested candidates need to fill in their personal and educational details in the application form. The application form requires a valid email id and working mobile number.
All important information will be sent to the candidates registered email id and/or mobile number. Candidates can apply for more than one course in a single application form. Any type of incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
Candidates must upload their latest scanned photo and signature as per the dimensions specified in the application form guidelines. No correction facility is available, and so candidates have to fill the details correctly.
No hard copies will be sent to the candidates from the authority. They can download the copies online and keep printouts for further use.
XAT 2020 Registration Fees can be paid online. The candidates interested in XLRI have to register themselves without late fee with a payment of Rs.1700/- and Rs.300/- for additional charges. All registration charges with late fee is Rs.2000/-and with additional charges, it is Rs.500/-.
Candidates need to submit the application fees using either debit card/credit card/net banking and should keep the e-receipt ready for future intimations.
Filling of the XAT 2020 Application Form
The steps for filling of XAT 2020 Application Form includes creating a fresh account, uploading of scanned images, Filling of XAT Application Form, Fee Payment and Sending the Confirmation Page.
First step is to visit the official website of XAT 2020. Press the Register Online Link. Now, press the New Registration button. The Application Form opens up.
Fill in your basic details like name, mobile number, and email id. Next, click on Save & Next for generating a valid user id and password. The details of the account will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Second Step is uploading of scanned images of photographs and signature in the specified image formats. The third step requires filling details like First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Email, Mobile Number, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Category, Kashimiri Migrant & Visually Handicapped status.
Enter your correct mailing address along with the mandatory qualification details. Next, fill in other details and accept the declaration form. Read the declarations carefully and click on I Agree to submit.
Make the payment of fees required using any of the cards like debit card/credit card/ IDBI net-banking. Once the process is complete, candidates can take a print out of the confirmation page and preserve it for the admission processes.
XAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Students who seek admission to management courses can appear for the XAT exams. All applicants must refer the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam form.
The candidates must be of Indian origin. NRI and Foreign nationals (except Dubai and Kathmandu) can apply through GMAT scores.
Candidates need to have a Bachelor’s degree from a
recognized University or College. They should have a minimum of 50% marks in
graduation in order to apply.
Students who will complete their final exam by 10th June are also eligible. There is no minimum percentage is required to apply for XAT. There is no age limit to apply.

XAT Exam 2020 Results was scheduled to be declared
on January 30th 2020 earlier, but the dates were revised and results
released much before January 17th 2020.
XAT 2020 Exam Pattern
The latest XAT 2020 Exam pattern has brought about new changes in the pattern of posting questions for the exam. XAT 2020 exam question paper will have four sections instead of the five in the earlier section of XAT 2020.
The number of questions in the revised XAT 2020 Pattern is 99. XAT 2020 Entrance Exam will be conducted online. The section wise distribution of XAT 2020 is as shown:

Note: There is no essay writing Test in XAT 2020 entrance exam.
Key Patterns in Marking Schemes
The type of questions will be multiple choice questions. The XAT 2020 each multiple-choice question paper is followed by 5 options. One mark is awarded for each correct answer. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the multiple-choice questions sequenced from questions 1 to 74.
General Knowledge questions will not carry any negative marking. Candidates can submit their test papers 30 minutes after the beginning of the test time. The exam time is of a 3hour duration.
There would be no sectional limit to solve the questions in the question paper. They can attempt any questions from any of the three sections within the given time period.
XAT 2020 Admit Card
Admit Cards for XAT 2020 entrance exam will be available online. Those candidates who have successfully registered themselves will get the admit card by logging into the official website of XLRI or XAT.
Candidate’s should note that they will not receive the admit card by post, email or by other means. They must keep the admit card safe until the admission procedure gets over.
Steps to Download the Admit Card
Firstly, browse the official website of XAT 2020. Next, login into the website of XT 2020. Press the “Download XAT 2020 Admit Card” link. Make sure you enter the correct XAT registration id and password along with your Date of Birth.
Download your Admit Card and take printouts/copies for further use. If there arise any discrepancy in the Admit Card, the candidates must contact the XAT officials immediately.

XAT 2020 Exam Results – Have I Cleared?
XAT 2020 results had been announced on 17th January 2020. Results can be checked online by searching for their scorecard after logging onto the official website. Successful candidates (i.e those who have cleared the exam) will be called for group discussions and personal interview process.
They only need to enter their XAT Id and password along with their date of birth to view the scorecard online. Scorecard will be available for download up to March 31st 2020.
Request for a hard copy of
the scorecard can be obtained by paying a DD (Demand Draft) of Rs.300/-drawn in
favour of XLRI, Jamshedpur, payable at Jamshedpur. The scorecard contains
important details such as XAT registration details, name of the candidate, date
of the test, etc.

XAT 2020 Cut Off Marks Needed
Cut off marks are the minimum set of marks required by the candidates to qualify for the exam and become eligible for the admission procedure later on.
Candidates who attain or score more than the cut off marks listed will be intimated for group discussions and personal interview as directed for the admission process.
Each cut off marks decides the candidate’s probability for selection to many programs for the XAT institutes.
Cut off marks are decided by a number of factors such as number of candidates appearing, number of candidates qualified, difficulty level of the question paper, and number of seats available and others.
How to check My Cut Off Marks?
Candidates can check their cut off marks online by visiting the official website of XAT at xatonline.in Browse for the ‘examination section’ on the home page. Press the link and enter your Roll number and Form Number. The XAT 2020 cut off list will be displayed. Save the form and take printouts for further use.
XAT 2020 Counselling
Once the results of XAT 2020 have been declared and cut off marks obtained, they can proceed to the shortlisting process of Group Discussion and Personal Interviews rounds. Upon completion of group discussion and personal interview rounds, due seats will be allotted during the counselling process.
Counselling process begins soon after the results declared. The counselling schedule will be notified in due course to the selected candidates. XAT 2020 Counselling procedure will begin in February and conclude in April 2020. No centralized counselling is organized for XLRI admissions.
Each institute has its own counselling procedure. Qualified candidates who reach the Merit list on the basis of scores in XAT and the selection rounds will be called for counselling.
Counselling process comprises three vital steps for qualification by the candidates:
Students have to register themselves to participate in the counselling procedure. The steps involve registering online and paying of fees for the registration.
Once the registration is successful, students are offered a goof choice to select their preferred course. The choices selected cannot be altered by the candidates. The final process is seat allotment.
This step consists of seat allotments based on the choice of the students, his/her merit list and availability of seats as per the rank features. Document verification is the next step for the candidates to qualify for seat allotment.
