Important Announcements by NTA
A new pattern for JEE MAINS 2020 has been introduced by the NTA. The JEE MAIN Entrance Exam will be conducted for three papers: Paper 1 for B.E./B. Tech, Paper 2 for B. Arch and Paper 3 for B. Planning.
NTA will use Normalization Procedure for Percentile scores to compare scores across multi-session papers. All India Ranking will be based only on the marks scored in the exam with no weightage for 12th standard marks.
Candidates must obtain 75% marks and 65% marks for SC/ST applicants in 12th class/top 20 percentile in Board. The marks will be considered during the counselling phase.
Identity proofs such as Aadhar Card in only one type of identification and not mandatory. The candidates can use their Passport, Ration card, Bank account number or any other valid Government identity for identification.
There is no age limit for appearing in the JEEMAINS exam.
ELIGIBILTIY — WHETHER YOU’RE ELIGIBLE OR NOT?
Before applying for the JEE MAINS Entrance Exam, you must confirm your eligibility to appear. And so, the concerned authorities have set up a few benchmarks to assess the candidate’s eligibility for appearing in the exam:
The proof of being an Indian national and having citizenship.
No age limit is there for appearing the exam.
Your educational qualifications must be ensured.
The number of subjects in the qualifying examination.
Number of attempts by you.

APPLICATION FORM — Registration and Corrections
The initial step towards your career lies in filling up the application form for the Joint Entrance exam. Corrections Stage for JEE MAIN 2020 Application Form
Visit the official JEE MAIN website .and click on the JEE MAINS Correction Application Form Link. Now enter your Application Number and Password to Login into your Application Form.
The Application Form window opens on your screen. Check and search for any mistakes, change them or correct them with the correct details.
Go through the Application Form for any errors, correct it and click on Submit. Make the payment for the JEE MAIN corrections in the required application form space. It is necessary to note that the fees vary depending upon the type of corrections in the form.
It is always a good practice to be careful while filling the details with modified corrections. Kindly be cautioned that forms once submitted cannot be changed any further.
Corrections in the Upload of Photo & Signature
Visit the official website of JEE MAINS 2020 and click on “Remove Discrepancy in Uploaded Images”. Enter your Application Number and Password to login into the application form. Now select your photo and change it to the correct one specified.
All scanned photographs must be uploaded with the name and date of photograph taken that should be printed on it.

JEE Main 2020 Exam Dates for second session has been announced. The exam date has been postponed from 23rd July to 23rd August 2020. JEE MAINS 2020 Admit Card is an essential element for all candidates.
Without this Admit Card, none of the applicants can write the entrance exam. The students should mark the dates tabulated below as a step towards writing your entrance exam.
Steps to Download Your Admit Card/Hall Ticket

Visit the official website. Click on the “Download Admit Card” button and a new window appears. The window offers two choices: “Through Application Number & Password” and “Through Application Number & Date of Birth”. Choose any.
Candidates will be redirected to the JEE MAIN Admit Card Page. Next, fill all details like application number, date of birth, security pin number and other details.
Once you have filled the page, click on the Login button.
Check and re-check all the details in the JEE MAIN 2020 Hall Ticket. In case of any discrepancy, contact the IIT JEE authorities immediately.
Download the Hall Ticket and take at least 2 copies of it.
What if I forgot my Application Number?
- If you feel that you forgot your Application Number, then follow these steps:

Must Know Things – JEE MAINS 2020 Rules
It is always recommended to reach well before the scheduled time at the examination centre. You must register yourself at the registration counter. Next be careful while sitting in the examination hall.
You would be allotted a seat. Sitting on any other seats will lead to automatic disqualification and candidatures being barred from the entrance exam. The invigilator will give an attendance sheet to sign in.
Double check if you are not carrying anything other than the items listed in the Admit Card. Ensure you are not carrying any electronic devices even watches of any kind.
Be alert and do not leave the exam hall until the exam gets over. Stop using unfair means to qualify in the exam and be honest.
JEE MAIN 2020 RESULTS & CUTOFF
NTA announces the JEE MAIN results on its official website. Qualified candidates will be able to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Process by the JOAA council to get admission in NIIT’s, IIT’s and CFTI’s based on the scores in the JEE MAIN Merit List.
JEE MAIN 2020 Counselling – You are Selected
JEE MAINS counselling is an online process. The registration and choice filling process will begin in August 2020. There will be different rounds of counselling.
Visit the official website of JoSAA and click on the Login Page. Now enter the MAINS Counselling 2020 roll number and password. Enter the security pin as shown on the screen.
After successful login, you will be asked to enter the required details. Verify all details entered on the registration page and click on the “Confirm Registration Button”.
Essentials for JEE MAINS Counselling & Seat Allotment
All successful candidates must carry their documents along with the Admit card for the Counselling process.

- 3 passport size photographs.

JEE MAIN Counselling Rounds & Procedures
1. Freeze: by the candidates accepting the allotted seats and wishing no further rounds of JEE Main counselling.
2. Float: This option may be used those wishing to accept the JEE Mains Seats but desires further rounds of counselling for better preferences.
3. Slide: For those accepting the allotted seats but seeking better option in the same institution. To be considered for further counselling rounds.
4. Withdrawal of Seats:
Candidates desiring to withdraw their seat should report at the centre before 6th round of allocation of seats.
After exercising withdrawal option, candidates will not be considered for further rounds of counselling.
After seat acceptance, the fees of seat acceptance will be refunded to the candidates after deduction of Rs. 1000 as a processing charge.
To withdraw seats, the candidates have to provide their bank account details and upload the image of cancelled cheque in JPEG/ JPG format. The candidates should provide their signature and that of their parents in their withdrawal request and report to the reporting centre.
