Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducts the AEE 2020 on a university level. The exam is a gateway to candidates seeking admission in various specializations of B. Tech programs. The Application Form for AEEE has been released on 19th September 2019. Besides AEEE candidates, candidates who qualify the JEE MAIN with top ranks are also eligible.
AEEE or short for Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination is held by the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham every year. AEEE admission offers courses to be studied at Bengaluru, Ettimadai in Coimbatore and Amritapuri in Kollam campuses.
APPLICATION FORM UPDATES
Application Forms of AEEE can be filled online or offline. All applicants must refer and understand the details of Application Form for filling of each section. The Amrita University offers offline application forms for candidates within specified amounts.
Entering basic details like education, personal, etc., are necessary to be filled in correctly by the candidate. Specified image size of photographs and signature should be uploaded in the format as instructed. Choose your city of preference for sitting in the exam. The last date for submitting the application form for candidates is 6th April 2020.
Candidates must take printouts of the filled application forms and keep it safe for the admission procedure. An Application Form with a demand draft of Rs. 1000/- in favour of Amrita School of Engineering, payable at Coimbatore needs to be sent offline by the candidates.
The Application Fee should be paid online only. An application fee of Rs.1000/- is required for candidates of all categories. While candidates who apply through JEE MAINS need to pay only Rs. 300/-. The online payment of application form can be done through debit card, credit card and/or net-banking.
Filling of Application Forms
The Application Form can be easily viewed on the website online. The process for online filling of the application forms are:
- Candidates must register to be visible on the portal website of AEEE.
- The Application Form has been made available from 19th September 2019.
- Candidates must fill the required details in the Application Form after the registration process.
- Candidates have been provided the facility of filling the Application Form till 6th April 2020.
- All scanned photographs and signature must be uploaded in the specified format.
- A printout must be taken for further admission procedures.

Detailed explanation of Applying to AEEE 2020
- Visit the official website of AEEE 2020.
- Next, enter the mobile number and email- id as asked.
- A user-id and password will be generated. The user id and password will be sent to your registered email and mobile number.
- Now, you need to login using the automatically generated user id and password.
- Fill up the Application Form after Logging In.
- Now fill in the essential details such as education. Personal and others correctly.
- All mandatory fields like gender, name of the candidate, nationality and others must be filled.
- The uploading of all documents must be done after due submission.
- Next, upload the photo and signature as mentioned in the application form.
- The photograph must be 3.5 cm (width) * 4.5 cm (height) in size and the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) *1.5 cm (height) in size.
- Now pay the selected fees for the Application Form.
- Click on Submit after you have completed all procedures.
- Review all dates for any correction before submission. There will be no facility to correct as directed by the authority after the last date mentioned.
- Next, hit the Submit button.
- Take a printout of the filled application form and keep it for the counselling and admission processes in the future.

AEEE Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must refer the AEEE Eligibility criteria before filling of the Application Form.
- The Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- The Candidate’s age limit must be on or after 1st July 1999.
- Candidates must pass their 10th and 12th classes from any recognized Board.
- An aggregate of 60% marks in PCM is needed to appear along with 55% marks scored individually in each of the three subjects.
- Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their main subjects in 12th Standard.
- Candidates who are appearing for their 12th exam this year are eligible.
AEEE 2020 Exam Pattern

The examination is conducted online and offline mediums.
The Pen and Paper Test (PPT) would be conducted only in Tamil Nadu in one slot per day. On the other hand, computer-based test will be divided into three slots, each day within 5 days.
All the questions are available in multiple question format.
A total of 100 questions would be prepared. 30 questions would be from Physics and Chemistry both, while 40 questions would be from the Mathematics subject.
The exam timings would be of 150 minutes.
3 marks would be given for each correct answer, one mark deducted for each wrong answer and 0 marks for questions not attempted.

AEEE Admit Card
AEEE Admit Cards will be available for download in the third week of April 2020. Slot Booking begins from April 2020 for AEEE. Candidates can fetch their Admit Cards online. The slot booking process for the Computer Based Test will start in the second week of April 2020.
Kindly note that admit cards will not be sent to the candidates by post or other offline modes. The Hall Ticket/Admit Card must contain the candidates name, candidate’s registration number, exam date, exam venue and time of the exam. No candidates will be allowed, without their Admit Card/Hall Ticket brought to the exam center.
All candidates must save their AEEE Hall Ticket with the sign of the examiner on the Admit Card. Candidates must bring the same admit card at the time of counselling. Candidates must bring one identity proof along with the Hall Ticket to the examination center for proper verification process. The candidate can bring any one of the following identity proofs:
- Voters Id Card
- Aadhar Card
- ID Card issued by your recent school
- Other authenticated documents that proves your identity.
AEEE Admit Card Dates Highlights
AEEE Entrance Exam would be held in online as well as offline modes. Computer Based Test will be organized from the fourth to last week of April 2020. Pen & Paper Test or PPT will be conducted in the last week of April 2020.
AEEE Hall Tickets can be downloaded only after the slot booking process gets over. The AEEE 2020 Results will be declared in the first week of May 2020. A few weeks later after the results, the counselling process would begin.

Slot Booking for AEEE 2020
Candidates who register for the Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering exam can book their online test, with test centre details, date and time slot in the month of April. The Computer Based Test will be held at multiple test centres as listed below:
- SLOT 01: 09:00 AM to 11:30 AM
- SLOT 02: 12:30 PM to 03:00 PM
- SLOT 03: 04:00 PM to 06.30 PM
All registered candidates can select their test centre, date and time slot of their choice, which is subject to availability of slots during the slot booking process. The number of candidates registered at the CBT centre decides the operating slots in a day with test centre, Number of days and Number of Operating Slots mentioned.
If a test centre is cancelled due to very little registrations at a particular centre, then the nearest centre will be allotted as opted by the candidate. All applicants will be informed individually.
Booking of your Test Centre
Login using all details like Application Number and Date of Birth. Select your Test Centre after successful login. Press the Continue button and do not try to click on back button. If you do so, close the browser and log in again.
The dates for the Test Centre of your choice would be marked in a Green Coloured background within the April 2020 Calendar. Choose the desired date available and press Continue. You will be prompted to select a test slot.
The Allotment depends on a first come first serve basis. Click Confirm Slot button to confirm the booking. You can check and recheck the Test Center selected with appropriate date and time given.
Slot bookings once allotted cannot be changed and requests for change of slots are not liable to be changed/ entertained.
Once you have confirmed the slot booking, you can print the Admit card by clicking on the Print Admit Card button.
AEEE CUT OFF MARKS
Candidates can check their AEEE Cut Off marks after the results have been declared. The cut off will be released along with the Results card by the concerned authorities. Those candidates who satisfy the cut off marks are eligible for the counselling process.
The concerned authority will declare the cut off marks in forms of opening and closing ranks. Separate cut off marks would be compiled for each specialization of engineering. The cut off marks could vary for each affiliated campus of the Amrita University. Separate cut off marks are put up for each campus.
CUT OFF MARKS FACTORS
The cut off marks depend on several factors such as:
- Number of Candidates appeared in the exam
- Number of seats available in participating institutions
- Number of candidates who have qualified.
- The Difficulty level of the question paper
- Previous years’ cut off marks.
AEEE 2020 Rank List
Rank lists are based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance exam. AEEE results will be declared in the first week of May 2020. Rank lists will be published on the University’s website in first week of May 2020.
The rank list can
be obtained only by online. The Authority will assign separate rank lists for
candidates who score in the written test. The candidates will be called for
counselling and eats allotted depending on their rank.
AEEE 2020 Counselling
The AEEE Counselling procedure will be done in three campuses of Amrita University. Students can attend their counselling venue as per their choice. Counselling begins right after the results have been declared. Students have to score good ranks to qualify for the Counselling of AEEE 2020.

Amrita University 2020 Counselling Procedure
Counselling process begins online from the second week of May 2020. Students have to pay the counselling and seat allocation fee of Rs. 5000/- by registering themselves. Fee is refundable only if the candidate fails to get any academic preference in the last rounds of counselling.
All qualified students need to attend counselling and fill their preferences. Counselling fee is non-refundable. Candidates have to furnish their original documents during the counselling process.
Seat allotments are based on candidate’s 2020 ranks, eligibility, category, choice for branch and seat availability in colleges.
Seats once allotted to candidates need to be paid as partial tuition fee of Rs.1,00,000/- and complete the admission formalities before the last date.

- 10th Class Certificate.
- 12th Class Mark Sheet.
- Class 12th Admit Card and AEEE 2020 Hall Ticket.
- AEEE 2020 Rank Card.
- Transfer Certificate from the last studied school to prove the “State” from where candidates have passed the examination.
