Indian Institute of Science and Research organizes a national-level entrance test. It is known as IISER SCB Aptitude test that offers admission to a 5year dual degree program of BS-MS. Admission is based on three channels -SCB,KVPY and on the basis of JEE Advanced exam.
JEE Advanced and KVPY are national-level based examinations that are the criteria for selection to the IISER, but SCB is a stream that offers admission to students on the basis of an entrance test conducted by IISER.

IISER 2020 Entrance Exam Schedule
IISER Entrance Exam 2020 Schedule has already been released by the authority.
Admission is offered to those candidates who appeared in the JEE Advanced, KVPY and IISER Aptitude test. IISER Application portal will remain open from 23rd March 2020 (SCB), 24th April 2020 (KVPY) & 1st June 2020 (JEE Advanced) Streams. SCB channel will be made available for Admit Cards on 18th May 2020.
IISER SCB aptitude test will be organized on 31st May 2020. IISER Results will be published a few days after the Aptitude Test on 2nd June 2020. Cut-Off marks for IISER will be declared after the results. IISER will organize allocation of seats to deserving candidates and counselling from 1st June 2020.
IISER 2020 Application Form
The IISER 2020 Application Form is available for the candidates to apply by following:
- Application form will be made available on different dates for all channels.
- Candidates can fill their application form online. No other modes will be entertained to fill the application form.
- Fill in all details like education, personal, communication and other information carefully.
- Upload the scanned documents like passport size photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
- Correction facility is provided by the authorities.
- Candidates are advised to take printouts of the application form for future references.
- Application fee will be paid by online only. No offline facility is provided.
- Application fee is Rs. 2000/- for candidates of general category. And for Rs. 1000/- for the reserved category candidates.
IISER 2020 Eligibility Criteria
All candidates are advised to go through the following IISER Admission 2020 Eligibility for admission:
- All Indian Citizens, Person of Indian Origin (PIO) & Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates are eligible to apply.
- KVPY Channel: In this category, candidates need to have a valid KVPY fellowship commencing in 2020-21. Candidates have to meet cut-off criteria to be applicable for the eligibility.
- Candidates of general category will have to qualify JEE Advanced 2020 and have to obtain ranks within 10000 in Common Rank List (CRL). While for SC/ ST/ PWD/ OBC-NCL categories, the category rank will be considered.
- SCB Channel Qualification: Candidates must have passed or are appearing intermediate examination with science stream in 2019 or 2020.
- Candidates have to score more or equal of cut-off percentages in their respective boards.
- Cut-off (SCB): The cut-off percentage for intermediates, prescribed by the Board must be obtained for being eligible.
- Students applying through SCB Channel have to appear in IISER Aptitude Test 2020.
IISER 2020 Exam Pattern
Candidates must follow the Exam pattern of IISER Guidelines laid out before the exam begins.
The IISER 2020 will be conducted Online (through computer-based mode)
A total of 60 questions i.e. 15 from each subject from each section.
The question paper consists of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ).
The exam duration will be 3 hours.
Each correct answer carries 3 marks.
1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

IISER 2020 Admit Card
IISER Admit Card will be available on 18th May 2020. The admit cards generated will be available to the candidates through online. Candidates have to login by entering their login details like, email id & password. The admit card is available online. No candidates will receive the admit card through post or any other mode.
Admit card for SCB channel aptitude tests will be released on 18th May 2020. Candidates should also affix passport size photograph on the admit card after downloading it.
Candidates are advised to check all the details & instructions mentioned on the admit card. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without showing their admit card.
In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, candidates must contact the officials before the exam. SCB Aptitude Test 2020 will be held on 31st May 2020. The exam will be organized in CBT (Computer Test Based mode).
The entrance test will be held across various cities in India. The allotted exam centre and city will be provided on the admit card.
Results will be published by the concerned authority a few weeks after the examination. The results will be announced on 2nd June 2020. The seat allocation process will commence from June 2020 after declaring of the result.

IISER 2020 Instructions for the EXAM
- Candidates must report to the exam centre as instructed in the Admit Card to avoid delay in entering the exam hall.
- Candidates must reach the exam centre with the downloaded admit card, passport size photographs & any ID proof.
- Candidates will not be allowed to carry any prohibited items inside the examination hall.
- Candidates who misbehave and doing mischievous activities will be barred from writing the exam.
- Extra things like Water bottles, tea, coffee, snacks, etc. will not be allowed to be taken by candidates in the examination hall.
- Candidates must not leave their set or exam hall during the exam period as directed in the schedule.
IISER 2020 Results
The IISER Results will be declared on 2nd June 2020 on the official website of IISER. The participated candidates can check their results through online after the declaration of the Results.
Candidates have to login into their IISER Screen to check the results by entering their registered email id or User-Id.
Based on the JEE MAIN and IISER Results, the candidates will be able to get admission in the IISER. Those candidates who had high marks in the entrance exam will be shortlisted in the merit list of IISER.

THE IISER RESULTS
The applicants can check their results by following these simple steps, mentioned below:
- Firstly, the candidates have to visit the official website of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research.
- The “Result” option is displayed on that site.
- Candidates have to login on the official website of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research.
- The candidates have to enter their IISER Application number and date of birth to login in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research.

IISER 2020 Expected Cut-Off’s

IISER 2020 Counselling
Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research organizes the counselling of IISER 2020 for all three channels – JEE Advanced, KVPY, and SCB. The authorities conduct the IISER 2020 counselling for each channel separately.
To participate in the IISER counselling 2020, candidates must be filling the application form, choice locking, document verification, etc.
During the IISER counselling 2020, candidates must reach the allotted centre on time for document verification.

Steps to
Participate in the Counselling Process
First things first, the candidates have to fill and submit the online application form on or before the last date. Separate application forms are available for each channel of IISER for admission.
While filling the application form, candidates also have to fill their choices of courses and institutes in order of their preference. Candidates should fill their choices carefully, as seats will be allotted on the basis of the choices filled by the candidates.
In the next step of IISER counselling 2020, candidates have
to report at the allotted centres to get their documents verified. Candidates
should make sure that they carry all relevant documents, failing which, leads
to disqualification of candidature.

Seat Allotment – On the basis of the choices filled by the candidates, merit list, and availability of seats in institutes, the authorities will allot seats to the eligible candidates.
Fee Payment – All the candidates who are allotted a seat will need to pay seat acceptance fee of Rs. 25000, for general and OBC candidates. In cases where candidates belong to other category, then seat acceptance fee is Rs. 12,500/-.
