What is BSc. Neuroscience Technology?
BSc. Neuroscience Technology is a 3 year full time undergraduate (UG) level course program. It is the comprehensive study of the human nervous system. The brain which is at the heart of the nervous system is the most complex organ that is made up of billions of woven neural circuits and neurons. The brain is the most important organ in a human body, as we will all be dead if it stops its function. The point is that Neuroscience is a niche branch of Biology that is made up of several complex sub areas of study. Broadly speaking the brain is one of the highly knotty creation.
Neuroscience is an advanced technology tremendously over the past and present years, with technological evolution giving impetus to breakthroughs in understanding neurons and neural circuits at the molecular and cellular level. Neuroscience has often targeted good interest in terms of research and development, as there have been Nobel Prize winners who have won the prize for their work in the branch of Neuroscience.
There are lot of diseases and disorders relating to the brain that need to be treated and diagnosed such as bipolar disorder, Down Syndrome, OCD, Schizophrenia, Tourette Syndrome, etc. The list is lot more as new mental health and nervous system problems come to light with each passing day.
At present you have Neurologists and you have Neurosurgeons. It’s like apples and oranges.
To become a Neurosurgeon, students usually study an M.B.B.S. followed by a D.M in Neurology. Moreover, studying the nervous system is a multiplex process that involves various machines, equipment, and extensive research. Neurology Doctors should not judge to their jobs without the assistance of Neurology technicians and research scientists who are regarded as the unsung heroes.
The training to become a Neuroscientist is the one covered in the B.Sc. in Neuroscience course program. They generally deal with the research aspect of Neuroscience and thrive to unearth new disorders, cognitive revelations and innovative ways of neurological diagnosis.
