What is BSc. Operation Theatre Technology?
BSc. Operation Theatre Technology is an undergraduate (UG) level course program. It is a detailed technical occupation in the field of health science. These medical operation theatre professionals are an important and vital part of the operation unit team who work along with the surgeon, doctors, nurse in order to provide best and quality patient care throughout the surgery is undertaken. These technicians make sure that every single process and procedures in the operation theatre is as secure and flourishing as possible. The operation technologist main job is to take care of all the work and management of the operation theatre which also includes looking after all the surgical instruments, taking care of sterilisation, preparation of dressing table, operation theatre table, instrument table as well as anaesthesia table. They also look after the drugs which are needed for surgery, anaesthetic gases and all the linen and their sterilisation. They provide together both sterile and non-sterile tools and at the same time regulate them to make sure that all are functioning and working appropriately.

The course offers complete care to the surgical patient pre operation and post operation in the theatre and to assist the anesthetist, surgeon or the nurse in several procedures and rules that helps to sterilize and disinfect the OT rooms following NABH protocols.
