CG PET 2020 or Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test is a State-level entrance exam for admission of students in engineering, Dairy Technology, Agriculture technology courses offered by different Colleges and institutions in Chhattisgarh. The examination is conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB). It is a gateway for the candidates to get admission in engineering and its specialized courses such as Dairy Technology and Agriculture Engineering. The examination will be held on 8th May 2020.

CG PET 2020 Application Form
Candidates must take note of the following details regarding the application form.
- The online application form of CG PET 2020 will be released on 17th March 2020.
- The application procedure will consist of selection of exam, registration, uploading of images, filling the application form, application verification and payment of application fee.
- The application process can be done in online mode only.
- Last date to pay the application fee and submit the application form is 12th April 2020..
- Before submitting the application form, candidates must verify all the details filled in the application. No correction facility will be provided by the Board to correct any mistakes in the application.
- If there are any mistakes in the details of application, candidates can submit a new application form with correct details and payment of fee again.
- Candidates may download the Admit card from 2nd week of May 2020.

How to fill the Application Form?
The candidates can follow the steps listed below to fill the application form for CG PET 2020 exam:
Step 1 is visiting the official link of the CG PET exam. Vvisit the website as instructed and click on the link “Online Application Form CG PET 2020”.
Step 2 involves filling of personal details and course information. This includes a Click on the option “Are You a Citizen of India?” Next, select the exam you wish to apply.
Now fill in all mandatory fields such as Candidates name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, date of birth, Roll Number of 10th Class, Gender, Category Details, CG domicile, Height, Weight and other details.
Step 3 contains uploading of Images and Signature. Click on the “Download Image Format”. Now take a printout of the format. A photograph with a size of 3.5 CM width and 4.5 CM height may be pasted in the given place. Write your name and put your signature in the box given below the photograph.
Give your left thumb impression in the specified box. Scan the Image Format in the JPEG format.
The image size should come between 40 KB to 50 KB. Click on the “Browse” button and upload the image format.
Students are required to fill other details like Religion, BPL Family status, Two Identification Marks, J&K Migrant Status, “Krishak”Family Status, House No, Street Name, City/Village, Post Office, District, State, Mobile Number, Email, Exam City Preference, etc.
Step 4 is accepting the Declaration Form. Read the declaration carefully. Tick the “I Agree” button and accept the declaration. After entering the security code, click the “Submit” button.
A confirm window will appear on the screen. If any correction is required in the filled entries click “Edit” or click “Continue” to submit the form.
- Step 5 is the Payment Section. Candidates will have to pay the application fee using debit/credit card, net banking or through the SBI bank challan.
- The application fee will be Rs. 200/- for general, Rs.150/- for OBC and Rs.100 for SC, ST &PwD candidates.
- Click on the “Pay” option to make fee payment.
- After entering the payment details, pay the application fee.
- Candidates will now be able to take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for further use.
CG PET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates applying for admission in the government, private and autonomous engineering institutions/Universities of Chhattisgarh under Chhattisgarh State quota seats are required to produce the domicile certificate of Chhattisgarh State.
- Candidates should use their domicile certificate as the proof of residency.
- The State quota seats are filled throughCG PET whereas admission to all India quota seats will be done through JEE Main.
- Students appearing for CG PET 2020 must have a minimum age of 16 years
- The maximum age for applying will be 30 years as on or before 1 July 2020.
- A relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit of female/SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates is provided.
CG PET 2020 Qualification Eligibility
B.E./B. Tech candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from the educational board of Chhattisgarh or equivalent board.
Qualifying examination (12th) must be passed with Physics, Mathematics (as a compulsory subject) along with any one of the given subjects, i.e. Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ technical vocational subject.
In 12th examination, candidates are required to obtain at least 45% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC and physically disabled candidates in three main subjects. It is also necessary to pass all the three main subjects individually at qualifying examination.
Biotechnology B. Tech candidates, are should have passed 12th examination from the educational board of Chhattisgarh or from any other recognized board of India.
Students passing 12th with Physics and Biology/Mathematics and any one of the Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Technical Vocational Subject are eligible to apply for this course.
The aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) is a must in all the three main subjects. The candidates should pass all the three main subjects individually at qualifying examination.
Students who wish to apply for Dairy Technology for B. Tech must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from Chhattisgarh board, CBSE & CISCE. They should have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as the major subjects.
The candidates need to secure a minimum of 50% marks (For GEN) & 40% marks (For SC/ST/OBC) in the qualifying exam. Appearing Candidates can also apply.
Agricultural Engineering Applicants of B. Tech students should qualify the 10+2 or its equivalent examination from Chhattisgarh board, CBSE & CISCE.
Students should pass the qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English subjects. Their Score should be at least 50% marks (For GEN) & 40% marks (For SC/ST/OBC) in the qualifying exam.
Appearing Candidates are eligible to apply. Candidates’ age should be 16 years.
All candidates should be medically fit.
Filling the Application Form
Candidates must go through the CG PET Application Form instructions before applying for the entrance examination. The Application form will be available online.
Candidates can fill the application form from fourth week of March 2020. The last date for submission of application form will be third week of April 2020.
While filling the application form, candidates have to fill all required personal & academic details in the application form. During the registration, candidates have to provide a valid/ working email ID & phone number in the application form.
Candidates are advised to re-check & verify the filled details before submission of application as there will be no correction facility provided by the Board.In case of any mistakes, candidates will have to submit new application form with correct details & fee payment.
After submission of application form, candidates

CG PET Admit Card Availability
CG PET 2020 Admit Card can be downloaded from first week of May 2020 till the second week of May 2020. The CG PET written examination will be held in second week of May 2020.
Candidates use their registration number or ID to download CG PET Admit Card Date 2020. After successful conduction of the exam, the final result along with final answer key will be published in fourth week of May 2020.
The counselling will be conducted for allotting seats from the second week of June 2020.Candidates who applied for CG PET 2020 exam, can get their admit card through online mode on the website. Candidates may enter their registration ID to download the admit card.
Candidates have to bring one photo ID proof along with a valid admit card in the examination hall. The ID without photo will be treated as invalid.
No candidate will be allowed to enter in the examination centre in such cases. Candidates have to keep the admit card till the process of counselling gets over. There will be two sessions of the exam, one in the forenoon and the other in the afternoon.

How to Download the Admit Card?
- Go to the official website link.
- When the link is opened, the options will appear for downloading the admit card and you can download it by entering the registration ID or number.
- After the security code is entered, click on the “Submit” button.

General Instructions for Candidates
- Candidates will have to be present one hour before the exam in the examination centre.
- Candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall after proper verification of their identity proofs as shown in their Photo Id Proof.
- Candidates will have to carry two colour passport sized photograph to the examination centre if the photograph is not printed on the admit card.
- Once the entrance test begins no candidate will be allowed to enter in the hall.
- Admit card will not be sent to the applicants by post.
- Candidates must familiarize themselves with the exam centre before a few days.
CG PET RESULTS
CG PET Results will be announced in the first week of June 2020. Candidates will be able to check their CG PET 2020 results through the official website by entering their Roll number.
The result of CG PET 2020 will be based on the marks and ranks secured by the candidates in the entrance examination. The authorities will make a merit list of candidates based on CG PET result 2020.
Separate merit lists will be made available for qualified candidates of CG PET and JEEMAIN. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit list and will be called to participate in the counselling process.

CG PET 2020 Merit List
A merit list of candidates will be prepared on the basis of CG PET 2020 result by the exam conducting authorities
The merit list of CG PET 2020 will be based on the subject-wise marks of the candidates in the entrance exam. The Inter se merit will be used in case of a tie between two or more candidates.
CG PET 2020 Cut-Off
The cut-off of CG PET 2020 will include the opening and closing ranks required by the candidates to get admission in the participating institutes of the exam.
It should be noted that separate cut-offs will be released for CG PET and JEE Main qualified candidates.
Cut-Off for CG PET 2020 will be prepared after considering various factors like number of seats, number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam and previous year trends.
CG PET 2020 Counselling
Directorate of Technical Education, Chhattisgarh will be organising the counselling of CG PET 2020 in online mode. There will be separate counselling for JEE Main qualified and qualified candidates of CGPET.
Counselling for entrance exam qualified candidates will begin tentatively from the second week of June 2020.
Candidates will have to first register online, to participate in the counselling of CG PET 2020. Various steps such as payment of counselling fees, choice filling and document verification will be included in CG PET counselling 2020.
Final seat allotment will be done on the basis of ranks secured by the candidates, availability of seats and choices selected by the candidates.
