What is BSc. Radiography?
BSc. Radiography is a paramedical professional course program, provided to individuals who will perform diagnostic tests in medical treatment with the use of radiation.
Generally, radiography may be defined as the science of capturing images of the internal and hidden portions of the human body for diagnosing diseases .This may include the use of ultrasound scan, X-ray, CT scan, MRI, etc.
This profession is known for considerable technological expertise. Radiographers work as a part of the healthcare team in the Diagnostic Department, Accident & Emergency, Intensive Care sections and Operating Theatres. Radiographers, are given training to take x-rays, MRI scan, CT scan etc. Few of the, radiographers are also involved in giving radiotherapy treatment to cancer patients. Radiographers those who can also perform the ultrasound test are known as sonographers. Radiography technologist is a diagnosis process where imaging techniques are used to scan the internal organs and parts of human anatomy.
Radiography has been introduced, after the discovery of X-Ray. Earlier days, X-Ray was commonly used to scan organs inside the human body and check for ailments and diseases in them. After few years, it has been more sophisticated and effective imaging techniques have been introduced. Few of these techniques are- Fluoroscopy, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, MRI scan Computer Tomography CT Scan, Angiography and Positron Emission Tomography.
A Radiographer is also a part of the healthcare professional department who is capable of using imaging techniques and equipment tools to scan inner parts of human and diagnose the diseases in the process. Radiographers are also known by these of the names such as Radiologic Technologists, Medical Radio Technologists and Diagnostic Radiographers.

BSc. Radiography: Duration
Bachelor of Science in Radiography or B.Sc. Radiography is an undergraduate (UG) level course program which introduces students to the fundamentals of biotechnological sciences. It is a 3 years course program which is divided into 6 semesters. Every semester lasts for the period of 6 months. The minimum duration is 3 years and the maximum duration is 6 years for Distance learning.
BSc. Radiography: Eligibility Criteria
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the course is a 10+2 or equal qualification from any recognized educational Board with fields such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
