JEECE is a joint entrance examination held by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive every year. This is a state-level exam that offers admission to B. Tech ad B.E. degree programmes. Admission in these programmes are offered to qualifying candidates in many government and private engineering institutions and colleges in the State of Jharkhand.

Application Fees Payment
JEECE 2020 Application fee of for B.E/B. Tech programmes is non-refundable and is described below:
- For General/BC-I/BC-II candidates – Rs. 900
- For ST/SC/Female candidates – Rs. 450
Candidates submit the application fee through online mode by debit/credit card or net banking method.
JEECE 2020 ELIGIBILITY Criteria
Before filling the application form, candidates must check their eligibility whether they are eligible to apply or not. The eligibility criteria are as mentioned below:
- Applicant should be a citizen of India.
- Candidates must be a local/permanent resident of the Jharkhand state.
- Candidates have to show their permanent or local resident certificate in original at the time of counselling.
- The certificate should be issued by competent authority (Sub Divisional Officer – Civil or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State).
- Residential certificate issued by any other authority will not be accepted.
- Candidates should have cleared ISc./ 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
- Candidates must have Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with chemistry subject.
- In the qualifying exam, candidates should have obtained minimum 45% marks for general and 40% marks for reserved categories candidates in PCM group.
- There is no minimum and maximum age limit is prescribed to apply for BE & B. Tech courses.
- For admissions, candidates have to go through the medical check-up.
- It will be done by the board or institution and after medical check-up only fit candidates will be eligible for admission.
RESERVATION CRITERIA
The reservation criteria will be based on the latest reservation policy of Government of Jharkhand. To claim the reservation, candidates have to submit or show the valid caste certificate in original at the time of counselling.
The caste certificate should be issued by competent authority (Sub Divisional Officer – Civil or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand state).
Caste certificate of BC-I & BC-II candidates will be valid only if they do not belong to the creamy layer. The reservation criteria for various categories are mentioned below:

Filling Process of the Application Forms
Step 1: Registration & Filling up
- Go to the official website of JEECE 2020 i.e www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.
- Click on the ‘New Registration’ Link.
- Next, click on the JEECE 2020 Online Application Form Submission.
- Enter personal details, qualification details, course and exam centre choice and communication detail.
- Read the instruction and tap ‘Save & Next’ button on the bottom of the page.
- Fill the complete form with all the required details like Name, Gender, Category, Email ID, Date of Birth, etc.
- An application number and password will be generated.
- Take a note of both for future reference.
- Login with the given number and password.
Step 2: Uploading of Images
- Now, upload the scanned copy of photograph, signature and thumb impression.
- Images should be uploaded in jpeg format, size of photograph (100 kb), signature (50 kb) and left-hand thumb impression (50 kb).
- Click on submit.
- After submitting the form, it will redirect to a new page.
Step 3. Payment Process
- Choose the payment option like Net Banking, Credit Card/Debit Card and make the fee payment.
- After final submission, a copy of the duly filled form will be displayed.
- Download and take 3 to 4 copies of the form for future reference.
Application Fees Breakdown
All the fees can be paid through Net Banking, Credit Card/Debit Card. The application fee once paid will not refunded under any circumstances. The fee structure varies for the general and reserved category as indicated in the table below.

JEECE ADMIT CARDS
- JEECE Admit Card will be issued 1-2 weeks prior to the examination date.
- Admit Cards will be issued and can be downloaded in online mode only.
- Details such as Candidate’s name, Roll Number, Photograph, Date of Birth, Exam Venue, etc. are mentioned on admit card.
- Carry a copy of JEECE Admit Card on the day of examination.
- Applicants must preserve the online admit card till the admission in the institution.
How to Download the Admit Card?
- Go to the official website and Click on the ‘Admit Card’ tab.
- Fill all the required details such as the name of examination, Registration, and Date of Birth, etc. on the new page.
- Click on ‘Submit’ button.
- Admit card will be displayed on the screen.
- Download it and print multiple copies of the admit card for future use.
JEECE Exam Pattern
- EECE 2020 will be conducted in the offline mode.
- The medium of the exam will be English and Hindi.
- All the questions will be based on 10+2 syllabus.
- Only a single paper is held in JEECE for admission to B.E./B. Tech courses.
- JEECE Paper comprises 3 sections namely, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Mark the answers by darkening the circle in OMR Answer Sheet.
- Negative marking prevails in JEECE 2020 exam.
- In case of any ambiguity in the question paper, English version shall be treated as final.
JEECE 2020 Marking Scheme
- JEECE Question Paper holds 150 question. 50 questions from each subject, Phy, Chem and Mathematics.
- Objective type questions are asked. Each question has 4 options, of which, only 1 option is correct.
- One mark is awarded for each right answer whereas 0.25 marks are deducted for the wrong one.
- No mark is deducted for un-attempted questions.
Note: OMR Sheets provided to the candidates during the exam are machine gradable sheets. They are highly scrutinized before declaring JEECE Results.

JEECE RESULTS PAGE
JCECE Board will declare JEECE 2020 result in the first week of June after evaluating the answer sheets. JEECE results will be uploaded on the official website in the form of a scorecard. The result can be checked by providing JEECE Roll Number or Application Number.
Post declaration of result, the board will release Common Merit List as well as Category-wise Merit List for the qualified candidates. The merit list will be based on the marks obtained in the JEECE 2020 Counselling and used for the purpose of allotment of seats.

How to Check Your JEECE RESULTS?
- Open JEECE official site i.e., jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in
- Go to JEECE Results Section
- Select the Exam you have applied for.
- Click the “Search” button.
- EECE result would be displayed on the screen in the form of rank card.
- Download JEECE 2020 Score Card.
Note: Candidates are suggested to preserve extra copies of the score card for further reference till the admission process is over.

The rank card will not be sent through the post. The details mentioned on JEECE rank card are represented below:

Candidates who have acquired the qualifying marks are eligible to attend the counselling process. The merit list is prepared by the authorities based on the marks obtained by Candidates in Jharkhand Common Entrance Competitive Exam 2020.
JEECE 2020 Merit List
JEECE Result 2020 is declared in the form of a merit list containing the list of qualified candidates along with their ranks.
On the basis of rank secured in JEECE 2020 Counselling, students are invited for counselling. Candidate needs to be aware of the process of merit list preparation. Detailed information about the preparation of merit list is given below for reference:
1. The board will prepare a combined merit list, as well as a category-wise merit list (wherever applicable) of candidates.
A list of appeared candidates in order of merit based on the score obtained in the examination will be prepared by the board and used for the purpose of allotment of seats.
2. In case of two or more than two candidates obtaining equal marks in JEECE 2020, the inter-se-merit of such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as follows:
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Mathematics in the examination.
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Physics.
- Candidates older in age
- As per English alphabetical order of First Name
JEECE 2020 Cut-Off
CECE 2020 Cut Off is the minimum mark that a candidate must secure in Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam in order to be eligible for admission.
Only those candidates will be considered by authorities whose score reaches the minimum qualifying mark for admission. Qualified applicants will get admission in various Under Graduate Engineering Courses & many others in different Institutes & Colleges located in Jharkhand State.
JEECE 2020 Counselling
CECE Board is the organizing authority of JEECE counselling session. Only candidates who have obtained minimum qualifying marks in JEECE 2020 will be eligible to appear in the admission rounds.
The computerized distributed counselling will be conducted in the month of July. The counselling will be conducted in 2 rounds. If seats remain vacant after the admission of recommended candidates during the first round of counselling, a second round will be held.
At the time of document verification, all shortlisted candidates are required to produce their original certificates.
In case, candidates fail to produce the original documents/certificates, their admission will be cancelled. Read on to know more about JEECE Counselling and documents required for the admission process.
Counselling Round 1
- After declaration of JCECE Result, qualifying candidates will be called for the first round of counselling based on merit ranking.
- The round of counselling allows candidates to choose their preferred institute.
- Following a scrutiny of the required original certificates/ documents and fulfilment of the laid eligibility criteria, candidates are allocated seats.
Counselling Round 2
- This round is held in case some seats remain vacant after the first round of counselling.
- Candidates who have been already allocated seats in the first round of counselling, can also participate for upgrading their allotted college.
- To confirm admission, students are required to pay the seat acceptance fee of INR 1,000 drawn in favour of Controller of Examination, JCECEB, payable at Ranchi.
Important Instructions for Counselling Rounds
1.Candidates do not need to report physically at any centre.
2. Details of vacant seats in various colleges will be uploaded on the official website.
3. For admission to MBBS/BDS program, scores of NEET 2020 will be considered.
4. For admission to B. Tech/B.E. program, the admission will be done through JEECE (PCM group).

Documents for Counselling
Candidates must present the following documents in original as well as a set of self-attested photocopy of the certificates in order to participate in JCECE counselling 2020:
- Admit card, Mark sheet, Passing certificate (original/provisional) of Class 12.
- Admit card, Mark sheet, Passing certificate (original/provisional) of Class 10.
- Local Resident Certificate Issued by SDO (Civil)/ DC of Jharkhand state.
- Caste Certificate issued by SDO(Civil)/ DC of Jharkhand state.
- 1 Passport size photograph (made from the same negative of photograph uploaded during the JEECE Registration.
- JCECE 2020 Admit Card
- Disability Certificate issued by Medical Superintendent/CMO/Head of Hospital.
Note: Only FIR copy will be entertained in case of losing JCECE Admit Card.

JEECE 2020 Seat Allotment
The seat allotment procedure for JCECE 2020 commences, once the document verification process is completed. Only those candidates are eligible for allocation of seat who have successfully applied for the Counselling Process and have filled in the choices of college and branch.
Here are some key points to know about JCECE Seat Allotment:
- The Seat matrix depends on seat allotment and the status of the participating candidate are displayed on the official website.
- To participate in the seat allotment procedure, a candidate has to fill JCECE 2020 counselling registration form.
- The criteria for seat allotment is purely merit-cum-choice. JCECE board considers both the score and the choice of college while allocating the seats.
- The qualifying candidates are called for JCECE counselling process. Candidates have to attend the counselling on the scheduled date, time and place.
- Only after verification of the essential documents, the candidates will be allotted seats.
- The process of seat allotment is carried out until all the seats are filled.
- Government specified Reservations are also applicable on the seat allotment.
- In case, any candidate is dissatisfied with the seat that is allotted to him in the first round, then he can opt for seat upgradation in the subsequent round. If the seat is not upgraded in the subsequent round then the first seat allotment will be considered as the final allotment.
- After successful seat allotment, candidates must confirm their admissions by reporting to the allotted institute and completing the requisite admission formalities.
- Candidates who have been allotted a seat during the JCECE 2020 Seat Allotment process will also be required to pay an allotment fee of INR 2000/- along with the admission fee at the time of reporting to the allotted institute.
Points to Never Miss Out
- School/College leaving certificate is not required at the time of JCECE Counselling. However, it will be required at the time of admission.
- In case a successful candidate appears as per merit ranking but forgets to produce required set of documents and then appears for the next round then they can opt for admission in only available seat/branch/ institute.
- Before allotment of seats, original certificates and identity will be verified.
- Legal actions will be taken against the candidates found false/improper identity/duplicate certificates.
- The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of marks obtained in JECECE. There is no guarantee of admission of candidates included in the advertisement merit list for counselling.
- The vacant seats will be displayed daily on Board’s website during JCECE counselling.
