MHCET also titled as Maharashtra Law CET is conducted by Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra. This is a state-level entrance exam that offers admission to candidates into 3 year and 5 year degree law courses.

MH CET 2020 Application Form
The applications for MH CET 2020 5year course have started on 21st January 2020. All application forms for 3year Law Course is available from 19th March 2020. The candidates can register themselves online and complete the application process. Application form filling comprises steps like Registration, filling of application form, uploading of mandatory documents, fee payment details and printing of filled application forms.
The last date for filling the application form is 6th May 2020. And for the 5 year LLB courses, the last date is 2nd March 2020. All details entered in the application form should be filled correctly as the form cannot be edited later.
However, the students can make the necessary changes before the last dates of 2nd March 2020 and 6th May 2020. Application Fee for general candidates is Rs.800/- and Rs.600/- for reserved candidates. Application fees can be paid online via debit card/credit card/net-banking.
All applicants must follow the steps for filling of the Application Form:
Visit the official website and click on that link. Click on Click Here for New Registration. Enter your details such as name, mobile number, email id, etc. next, click on Save & Next button. once you feel that you have entered the details correctly click on Submit. Please note that no edition of applications afterwards is allowed.
It’s time to download your provisional registration number and password. Next, proceed to your scanned photo and signature for uploading. Choose Upload to upload the scanned images.
Photograph dimensions should be 200 x 230 pixels (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm).
Signature dimensions should be 140 x 60 pixels (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm).
File size should be between 20 KB-50 KB (photograph) & 10 KB-20 KB (signature) in JPEG format. Click on Next.
Enter your details such as category, belonging to Maharashtra or not, passed 11th standard, exam preferences, etc. Fill your basic details like date of birth, gender, father’s name, mother’s name, address, etc. Verify your details by clicking on Validate your Details.
Click on Save and Next. Fill your qualification details and Validate your Details. click on Save and Next. Check for filled details and click on Final Submit button.
Make the necessary payments and you will be redirected to the online payment gateway. Choose the mode of payment and click on Submit and pay the fee. Upon successful completion, take necessary printouts and use them for future use.

Online centralized counselling (Part-I) begins from 21st July 2020 for 3 years LL.B and from 15th May 2020 for 5 years of LL.B. NRI, OCI, PIO. Candidates must verify their documents for getting admitted to government aided colleges in the first week of July 2020.
Provisional alphabetical lists are released in the first week of July 2020 for 5 years LL.B and in second week of July 2020 for 3 years LL.B. A Merit List for candidature-type candidates will be released in the second-third week of July 2020.
Option form filling (Part-II) begins from the second-third week of July 2020. The counselling dates will be conducted from the third week of July 2020.
MH CET 2020 Exam Eligibility Criteria
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility clauses given for the NRI candidates are eligible. They don’t have to apply for CET.
There is no age limit to apply.
Those candidates applying for 5 year LLB course should pass their SSC (+2) or its equivalent examination such as (11+1, ‘A’ level in Senior School Leaving Certificate Course) from the recognized board of Maharashtra state or from outside.
Candidates must score 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam and 40% marks for reserved candidates of Maharashtra).
Candidates who complete their 12th class from Distance or Correspondence method can also apply. (A gap of not less than Two Years between 10th Std. (SSC) and 12th Std. (HSC) should not be present.
Appearing Candidates are also eligible to apply.
A 3 year LLB applicant must have the graduate or post graduate degree in any stream from any of the recognized university of Maharashtra or India.
Candidates must score a minimum of 45% in the qualifying exam for General and 40% for reserved categories.
MH CET 2020 Exam Pattern
A 3 year LL.B exam has questions asked from four subjects. One mark is awarded for each correct answer. The number of questions I equated to the total marks. Candidates can prepare on these topics and score well in the examination.

MH CET 2020 Admit Card
Students will be able to download the MH CET Law Hall Ticket 2020 from the website. The intimation of downloading of admit card will be sent via Email/SMS by the authority. The admit card will contain required details such as name, category, sub-category, exam centre, exam date & time, city, language of exam & other exam related instructions.

MH CET 2020 Cut Off Marks
Maharashtra will release cut-off marks for MHT CET 2020 on its official website at dtemaharasthra.gov.in. Candidates can log in using their roll number or application number and password to check the cut off marks.
Based on the scores and rank obtained, the applicants would be shortlisted for the counselling process. Separate cut off marks are there for each institute hiring shortlisted candidates.
MH CET 2020 Counselling
The counselling will be in online mode for qualified candidates. The MH CET counselling is scheduled to begin from 24th June 2020.
MH CET 2020 Preparation Tips
Candidates can prepare for a mock test every week to check their speed & accuracy. It helps candidates to find out where he/she has to focus. Practice solving Maths questions at least 8 to 10 times. Solve as many mock tests as possible.
Candidates must make a proper study-plan. Give equal time to each section. Candidates must focus on reducing the time according to the question. Time management is the key in every exam. Try to solve as many questions under the time frame allotted.
Candidates should not only be aware about the exam pattern of MHCET 2020, but also with nature of the examination. Focus on important topics such as current affairs, GK, etc. Make a note of all the important things required for revision.
Candidates need to highlight a number of subjects such as General Knowledge, English, Logical Reasoning & Legal Aptitude.
