Banaras Hindu University organizes UG tests and PG tests through an entrance exam conducted every year. BHU conducts university level entrance exams for all applicants to UG, PG and Doctoral courses.
BHU application forms have been extended to 12th March 2020. Now applicants can fill their entries online from the related website. All application forms are available online. They can start filling the application form from 30th January 2020 for PET/UET 2020. Enter all basic details like personal, education, address, etc carefully. Separate courses need separate application forms and application payment fee.
After this, Upload your recent scanned passport size photo and signature in the dimensions as instructed. The application forms can be filled latest by 12th March 2020 for UET and PET. Take printouts as necessary and keep it for counselling processes.
Application form fee can be paid online or offline. Online application form fee can be paid using debit card/credit card/net-banking. Offline payment can be done using Challan made from any branch of HDFC Bank. Application fee once paid is non-refundable.

BHU Detailed Application Form Filling
BHU Application forms are available online for several courses. Registration process had begun on 30th January 2020 for both UET and PET. The application process comprises Registration, filling of Application Form, Upload of scanned Photo and signature, preview modes, editing and making of fee payment.
BHU 2020 Eligibility Criteria
B. Com course applicants should pass 10+2 or equivalent exams from a recognized Board. The applying candidate should have passed subjects like Economics/Commerce/ Computer Science/ Maths/ Finance/ Financial Markets Management.
He/she should secure a minimum of 50% marks as aggregate in the qualifying exam. The age limit has to be 22 years as on 1st July 2020. LLB Honors candidates should pass BA/B Sc. /B.Com or equivalent exams from a recognized University. The applicant should secure 50%marks in the qualifying exam. The candidates age limit should be not more than 30 years as on 1st July 2020.
MBA aspirants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or Law or equivalent from a recognized University.
General candidates must obtain 55%marks aggregate and 45%marks aggregate for SC/ST candidates from any reputed Institute/University. Appearing candidates of final year cam also apply.
BHU Exam Pattern
UET candidates’ exam pattern: The exam will be conducted online in Computer Based mode. The questions will be asked in either English or Hindi medium. The exam time limit varies from course to course. 150 multiple choice questions are asked. The question paper is of 450 marks. 3 marks are awarded for each right answer and 1 mark deducted for every wrong answer.
PET exam Pattern: the entrance exam will be conducted online. PER exam is
of 2 hours. There are two sections in the exam paper: A & B. 120 questions are there out of which 60
questions in each session. The paper is marked 360 marks. 3 marks are awarded for each right answer and
1 mark deducted for every wrong answer.
BHU Admit Card/Hall Ticket
The admit cards are published one week before the scheduled exam. Students must download their admit cards within that given time. Students will be informed through email and SMS apart from visiting the website.

BHU 2020 Results
The BHU results will be declared by third week of May 2020. The applicants can check their results online. university sends details about candidate, overall merit and merit within category to the candidates registered email or mobile number.
BHU CUT OFF
The University decides the qualifying marks to be scored in the entrance exam. The cut off marks varies from course to course. The applicants can check their cut off marks by visiting online for the respective courses applied. Cut off marks depend on the following:
- The total number of candidates applied for the exam.
- Level of difficulty of the examination.
- Pass proportion of the candidates.
- Availability of seats in the university.
BHU 2020 Counselling
The BHU counselling begins in July 2020 by offline mode. Candidates qualifying the written exam will be called for counselling. Counselling begins a few days after the result has been declared.
Seats are allotted as per the availability and rank obtained by the candidate. Shortlisted applicants have to log in the website for computerized counselling. Login to website for password generation.
Fill your choice of entry activated on the candidates’ entrance test portal. They can change their venue of counselling at the counselling center. After finalizing the option entry, take printouts and submit along with required documents at the verification desk.
They have to pay the online admission fee and get the call letter. Call letter will be issued to the candidate on their registered mobile number or email id. After receiving the call letter, the candidate has to report to the allotted institution and get the admission on the due date.
