GUJCET more popularly known as Gujarat Common ENTRANCE Test is a state-level common entrance test held in Gujarat. It is managed by the Gujarat Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB).
All successful candidates clearing this entrance exam find a place for admissions to Engineering and Pharmacy courses in government and non-government institutions across the Gujarat State.
GUJCET 2020 Application Form
All candidates should refer the GUJCET 2020 Application Form and fill in as instructed in the Brochure/Prospectus as mentioned.
- GUJCET 2020 application form has been released on 21st January 2020. The application form has been released via online mode only.
- Candidates can fill the application form from the website of GSEB.
- There will not be any correction facility after the last date of application form. Candidates must fill the application form carefully.
- Last date to apply is 10th February 2020.
- During the application form filling, candidates have to fill all personal, academic, communication and educational details followed by uploading the images.
- Candidates have to upload the scanned images of photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
- After filling the application, candidates must check their details properly and submit online only. There is no need to send any hard copy to the officials.
Application Form Fees is Rs. 300/- only. Application fee can be remitted online by debit/credit card or net banking. The application fee can also be paid through e-challan/payment slip of SBI bank.
GUJCET 2020 Application Form can be filled through online mode from 21st January 2020. The application form can be filled untill 10th February 2020.
GUJCET registration has started online. There is no need to send any hard copy of the filled-in application form to the GSEB office.
To fill the application form, Aadhar card is required as a mandate. After filling the personal details, candidates have to update the images of their photograph and signature also. The application form fee will be Rs. 300/-. The application fee can be submitted via online mode only.
Filling of the Application Form Online

- Click on create account or sign up for new user.
- Enter the required details like name, date of birth, mail ID, contact number, captcha code, etc.
- Click on new registration.
- Get your user name and password.
Step-2: Fill Application Details:
- Login again with the proper user name and password.
- The application form will be seen on your computer screen.
- Start filling the application form with personal details.
- Now enter the qualification details.
- Enter the communication details and address.
- Enter your parent’s details.
Step-3: Upload Images:
- Now move to step 3 as uploading the scanned images.
- Candidates must prepare the scanned images of passport size photo graph and signature.
- The image size of both scanned particulars must not exceed to 50 KB.
- Photograph should be in colour format only.
- Signature should be by blue or black ink.
- Click on upload images button.
- upload the images as JPEG format.
- Click on save button in last.
- You can also see the preview of images.
Step-4: Fee Payment:
- The application form fee can be paid via online mode only.
- The fee can be remitted through net banking or debit/credit/rupay card of any national bank of India.
- The application form fee will be Rs. 300/-.

GUJCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for candidates seeking admission to engineering and pharmacy courses are listed under:
General Eligibility (Common for all courses):
- Nationality: The candidate must be the citizen of India only.
- Residence: The candidate must be a domiciled of Gujarat state.
Eligibility for Engineering:
- Candidates must be passed 12th class examination from any recognized education board in India.
- Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics in 12th class.
- Candidates must secure minimum 45% marks in 12th (40% in case of reserved categories).
- Appearing candidates can apply.
Eligibility for Pharmacy:
- Candidates must be passed 12th class examination from any recognized education board in India.
- Candidates must have Physics and Chemistry in 12th class.
- Candidates must secure minimum 45% marks in 12th (40% in case of reserved categories).

Eligibility for Diploma:
- Candidates must be passed 12th class examination from any recognized education board in India.
- Candidates must have Physics and Chemistry in 12th class.

GUJCET 2020 Exam Pattern
- Mode: The exam will be held via offline mode only.
- Language: The paper will come in Hindi, English and Gujarati language.
- Courses: The exam will be held for engineering and pharmacy courses.
- Duration: The examination will be of a 3 hour duration.
- Subjects: The questions will be from physics, chemistry and mathematics for engineering courses. Whereas questions for pharmacy courses will be from physics, chemistry and biology.
- Total Question: A total of 120 questions will be asked (40 questions for each subject)
- Total Marks: The paper will be of 120 marks.
- Marking Scheme: For the right answer 1 mark will be allotted. While, 0.25 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
GUJCET 2020 Admit Card
GUJCET 2020 Admit Card will be released in April 2020. Candidates can download it through online mode. GUJCET hall ticket will be released by the authority on their official website.
The admit card will be important, as the candidate will not be able to sit in the exam hall without the downloaded copy of the Admit Card.
GUJCET admit card 2020 will contain the name of the candidate, roll number, photograph, signature, test centre address, exam date & time and some important instructions.
Candidates have to strictly follow the instructions mentioned on the back (behind or rear side of the Admit Card). Candidates must keep the printout of the hall ticket carefully till the admission process gets over.
GUJCET 2020 Admit Card Date
The Admit Card will be released in third week of April 2020. Candidates can get their admit card through online.
It will be necessary to bring the admit card to the examination hall to appear in the exam. The written test will be conducted in April 2020 through online mode.
Candidates will have to enter their unique 8 Digit GUJCET 2020 application number or their name and date of birth to download admit card.
Candidates must check all the details as mentioned in the admit card before and after downloading.
How to Download the Admit Card?
Candidates can follow the procedure to download the GUJCET hall ticket 2020.
- Visit the official website.
- A new page will be opened on the screen.
- Candidates can download admit card by entering their application number or name.
- Enter the generated captcha and click on “Search” button.
- The admit card will be displayed on your computer screen.
- Check the details mentioned in the admit card and click on print button.
- Take two-three printouts of it and keep it safe for further process.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- The exam schedule for Physics/Chemistry will start from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, and for Biology 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM and Mathematics from 4:00 PM-5:00 PM.
- Candidates should reach the exam centre one or two hours before the exam time.
- Candidates should familiarize themselves with the exam centre one day before the exam.
- Candidates are also instructed not to carry any study material, paper, envelop or any other materials into the examination hall.
- Calculators, log tables and slide ruler, pagers and cellular phones are not permitted to be carried into the examination hall.
- In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, you should report to the concerned authority for any corrections.
GUJCET 2020 Exam Results
GUJCET Result 2020 will be declared in the April/May 2020. The result will be available via online only on the official site.
Candidates would be able to check their result by entering their application number in login panel. The result will be released followed by the GUJCET Merit list.
The merit list will be prepared based on 60% weightage of the percentage of 12th class of Gujarat board and 40% weightage of marks secured in GUJCET 2020 exam.
GUJCET 2020 Syllabus
GUJCET is the most sought-after examination in Gujarat state, but there is no official syllabus prescribed. For Engineering, the questions are asked from physics, mathematics and chemistry subjects. And for Pharmacy, the questions are asked from physics, biology and chemistry/ subjects.
The questions will be asked from the 11th & 12th class syllabus of Gujarat State Education Board.
GUJCET 2020 Answer Key
GUJCET 2020 Answer key will be released in April 2020. The answer key will be available via online mode only. The GSEB will release the answer key in 2 steps.
In step one, GSEB will release the provisional answer key. Candidates would be able to cross check their answers with the provisional answer key.
If they find any discrepancy, then they should submit their objections to the officials. After receiving objections, the Board will release the final answer key.
GUJCET 2020 Counselling
GUJCET 2020 counselling will be organized online only. The counselling will be organized by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).
Before registering for counselling, candidates have to visit their nearer Kotak Mahindra Bank to get their information booklet and PIN number.
With the help of PIN numbers, candidates will have to register for the counselling procedure.
Candidates would be able to make choices of courses and colleges as per their score, merit and availability of seats. The allotment will be released by considering all given factors.
