JNU Admission 2020 Application Form

JNU 2020 Application Form is available online from  2nd March 2020. Candidates must be aware that no application forms will be sent by post or other means to them. The applicants can begin filling the application forms from 2nd March 2020. Applicants should submit their application forms latest by 31st March 2020.

Candidates are able to apply only a maximum of three fields in the same application form. Any submission of more than one application form for the same programme will lead to rejection. The applicants have to submit a valid email id and phone number. All information will be sent by email or to the phone registered.

It is vital to upload scanned photo and signature in the prescribed formats. The passport sized photo should be between 4 KB and 30KB in JPG or JPEG formats. Respective authorities provide correction facilities to edit the mistakes while filling of application forms.

The JNU Application form can be paid online via credit card/debit card/net-banking. Please note that application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. The selective chart for the application fee for various courses are shown:

JNU Admission Eligibility Criteria

The University offers admission to different courses in the field of arts, science, computer applications, etc,  with different eligibility criteria.

Courses Eligibility Criteria
BA (Hons.) (1st Year) Qualifying Exam: Pass 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.Must obtain a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying exam.The Minimum Age Limit is 17 Years as on 1st October
BA (Hons.) (2nd Year) in German Qualifying Exam: Pass 1st year of Bachelor Degree from a recognized university.Should have at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam.

JNU Admission Exam Pattern

The JNU Admission exam contains the type of questions asked, mode of exam, exam duration and other exam details. JNU organizes JNUET to get admission to various courses. The exam is to be conducted from 11th to 14th May 2020. The exam pattern varies according to the courses.

The exam is organized online via CBT (Computer Based Test) mode. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. The Question paper will be in English. A set of multiple-choice questions will be asked. The exam weightage is 100 marks.1 mark is given for each correct answer. The number of questions varies from course to course.

JNU Admission Hall Ticket/Admit Card

The JNU Admission Admit card is available on 30th April 2020 for the JNUEE that is conducted every year. Applicants have to bring their JNU Hall Ticket along with one photo identity proof. They have to carry their latest admit card and a passport size photo to the exam hall.

No candidates without a proper admit card will be allowed to the exam hall by the invigilator. The admit card should contain name of the candidate, father’s name, roll number, exam date, exam time, exam location, exam guidelines and many more.

The JNU admit card can be accessed via online before the last date. The JNU admit card will be published on 30th April 2020 on the University website.

Download your Admit Card/Hall Ticket

All applicants have to follow the below procedures for obtaining the admit card/hall ticket from the website online.

Navigate to the official website of JNU University.  You will be redirected to the University’s Home page. Enter your Login details and Password to open the window. Later, click on Login button. The admit card opens up on your screen. Check for any errors in the admit card and confirm before taking printouts. Preserve copies for admission processes.

JNU Admission Answer Key

Applicants can obtain their Answer Key two-three days after the JNU Entrance exam. The JNU Answer Key will be available online up to first week of June 2020. Answer key can help candidates calculate their scores and verify their probable marks.

The objections or challenges raised against the JNU answer Key can be done two -three days after the JNU exam up to 11.30 pm via online.

Students need to pay Rs.1000/- as a fee for the objections raised. The fee can be paid online and will be refunded if the challenge is found correct.

Check your Answer Key

Visit the official website of JNU. Search for JNU EE 2020 Answer Key. Click the link. Choose the course type. Answer Key is shown on your screen. The applicants can download the answer key and take ample printouts.

JNU Results Section – Results Declared or not!

Applicants can check their JNUET results on 31st May 2020 online.  A Link is provided to enter your login credentials. Open the official website link to check your JNU Results. Click the link given.

A login window will be shown on the screen. Enter your login details on the screen. Click on Login button. Results page opens up on your screen. Download it and keep multiple copies for future use.

JNU Cut Off Marks

The cut off marks for JNU admission gets started from July 2020. Cut off marks are determined on various factors like total number of candidates appeared in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, highest & lowest marks secured by the candidates, etc.

Based on the cut off marks, applicants will be called for admission process. Merit lists are prepared on basis of cut off marks.

JNU Admission Procedure

Once the written test has been cleared, candidates have to qualify the Viva. JNU Admissions get started based on the merit list prepared. The shortlisted candidates have to appear in person at the mentioned date, time and venue as directed. The seats will be allotted to the shortlisted candidates according to the merit list, choice fillings and seat availability.

Instructions to Candidates

The Hard copy of the admit card will not be sent to the candidate by the officials.  It has to be downloaded online from the University’s website.

Candidates should read through the details on the admit card. Verify them for any errors or incomplete admit cards.

In case, the applicant forgot their application number, they can retrieve it by entering their name and or date of birth. If any discrepancy arise, it should immediately notified to the JNU Authorities.

Do not bring any  type of electronic devices or study materials or even electronic watches to the exam hall.

Keep extra printouts as needed for further rounds.
