MU OET now also known as MET is a university level exam that offers admission to various Undergraduate and Post graduate programs to aspiring candidates. This entrance exam is organized by Manipal University. 

MET/MU OET 2020 Application Forms are available online. Candidates can fill their application forms from 5th October 2019. It is necessary for all applicants to fill the correct details such as address, academic details, personal details and so on. They should upload their recent passport size photo and scanned signatures as specified in the registration form.

The candidates can fill the application form up to 15th March 2020. The applicants should take adequate print outs for further rounds if qualified. The applicants filling the application form through Demand Draft have to send the application form along with the DD to the address below:

The payment for the Application fee can be paid online as well as offline. Online payment can be done using debit card/credit card/net-banking. In the other mode, applicants need to pay through demand draft in favour of Manipal University payable at Manipal or Udupi.

MU OET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

It is necessary for all applicants to check their eligibility for the Entrance exam. The B. Tech programs offered to deserving candidates who must pass their 10+2 level or equivalent exams from a recognized Board/University. The applying candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, mathematics and any of the optional subjects.

Students of BA must pass their 10+2 exams or equivalent from a recognized Board/University. The candidate must have an aggregate of 50% marks in his/her exams of 12th stream. Those interested candidates for M. Com must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Management from a recognized Board/University. 

Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam. Applicants interested in M. Sc Nursing must complete their B. Sc/PB B. Sc Nursing from any recognized Board/University. He/she must have secured an aggregate of 55% marks in the qualifying exam. Candidates with one-year experience can apply.

B. Tech Exam Pattern

The entrance exam will be organized online in CBT mode. This will be a multiple-choice question format. A total of 200 questions will be asked.  The time allotted to complete the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. Questions will be asked on a random basis from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General Aptitude.

MU OET 2020 Admit Card

The applicants can get their admit card vi online.  The authority does not send any admit card via post or by other means. It is generated after 24 hours of Slot Booking. This facility Is provided to applicants who book their slots using the online test booking system before the last date of the Manipal University slot booking.

The admit card can be obtained by entering your application number and password. Check all details on the admit card. If there are any discrepancy then contact your officials immediately. Some of the documents required on the exam day:

  • Two Copies of Admit Card
  • One Photocopy of Application Form 
  •  Passport
  • Voter ID Card
  • PAN Card
  • Driving License
  • School/College Photo ID Card

Visit the official website. Click the link. A new page opens on the website. Enter your application number, OTBS password and Security Code in the given space. Click Login. Book a slot now. After your slot has been booked download your admit card.

MU OET 2020 Preparation Tips

The candidates must learn to manage their time. They should allot equal time to each subject. If you plan a time table, then follow it according to the order as mentioned. Do not skip any portion of the subjects listed or allotted in the time table. Give extra time by planning how to improve your weak areas or topics.

Study topic wise to keep with up to date information. Focus more on your study topics and put in hard-work to attain your goal. Try to study topic wise and look for short cuts wherever possible to solve the questions. Learn and master the shortcuts wherever applicable to save time.

Revising and practicing on subjects is an important part of the preparation. The more you practice, the more are your chances of clearing.  Study and practice regularly. Revising things makes you remember what you have learnt and memorized. Make short notes and go through them as part of the revision process.

Prepare notes in short to summarize what you learnt. Write down formulae and practice them.  Keep reference books handy along with your syllabus. Study for at least 5-6 hours daily to master the topics of the syllabus. Study according to the exam pattern and syllabus.

The candidates should be aware of the marking schemes. The marking schemes help you develop a marking goal to achieve. It will help you achieve good marks and patterns in the given time limit.

Eat healthy and avoid any kind of stressful activities. Keep your mind fresh and cool. Take a proper sleep and try waking up early to study.
