Aligarh Muslim University or AMU conducts an entrance exam every year at the University level. This entrance test provides admission to UG, PG and Diploma courses in Science, Arts and Commerce Streams.

Steps to Apply for AMU 2020
Visit the official website and read all the instructions carefully before proceeding to the filling of the application form.
Click on Register New User option.
The application form appears on your screen.
Enter all details correctly such as name, email id, phone number, education and qualification details in the application form.
Next, click on Register option. Now upload your scanned photo, signature and left-hand thumb impression as per the dimensions specified.
Next, make the payment of the application form.
Take multiple printouts and keep a hard copy safe until the admission procedure. The AMU Application form is available online. Candidates can start applying for the exam by 16th January 2020. The last date for submission of application forms is 7th March 2020 along with late fee.
Only one registration is allowed and multiple submissions of forms will never be accepted. Incomplete or incorrect application forms will be rejected.
And so, the candidates have to fill the details accurately. The correction for the application forms will be opened from10th March up to 14th March 2020. The applicants should provide a valid working email id and mobile number.
Application fee can be paid online or offline. The mode can be through debit card/credit card and net-banking.
In offline modes, the payment can be done via Bank challan of ICICI & Canara Bank. They can also be paid using a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer payable at Aligarh.

AMU 2020 Eligibility Criteria
B. Tech course aspirants must qualify 12th standard/diploma in Engineering or equivalent exams from a recognized Board/University. They must qualify the exam with PCM and English as the amin subjects. They should be scoring a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
B. Com Honors course applicants must qualify their Intermediate or equivalent exams from a recognized Board/University. They should score a minimum 55% marks in the qualifying exam.
MCA course candidates must qualify their Bachelor Degree in Science /B. Tech/B. Arch/B.E.or equivalent exams.
AMU 2020 Exam Pattern
AMU exam pattern consists of a number of questions, duration of exams, marking schemes and many more to give a feel for the applicant. The exam will be conducted on 31st May 2020. The question paper will comprise 150 questions in number. The medium for the entrance exam is English except for one paper.
The exam paper is of 150 marks. Questions will be asked from subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The exam will be of a 3 hour duration. Each right answer carries 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
AMU 2020 Admit Card
The AMU Hall Ticket can be obtained online by visiting the official website of AMU. A clear admit card /hall ticket is necessary, so make sure you take a clear colored Admit Card. The Hall Ticket should be kept until the exam time gets over and also up to the counselling proceedings.
After downloading the Admit card, the applicant has to paste the recent colored photo on the space provided in the admit card. The admit card should contain essential details such as Name of the Candidate, father’s Name, Roll number, Exam center, Date and Time, exam venue, course name and address details.
AMU 2020 Answer Key
AMU Answer Key will be released by the Aligarh University online. The candidates who appeared in the entrance exam can check their answers along with the answer key. The University publishes the set-wise answer key. Applicants can have easy access to answer key based on their course.
Any discrepancy in the Answer Key must be reported to the officials of the University. The answer key can help students calculate their estimated scores before publishing of the results.
AMU 2020 Results
AMU Results will be published by the official authorities of the University. It will be available online to all candidates. Merit lists are prepared as per the scores obtained by the candidate. The result card contains the rank and roll number of candidates selected for admission process.
No separate intimation letter will be issued to shortlisted applicants for admission. The results can be checked by following: Visit the official website. A new page opens on the screen. This page contains links for the courses offered by AMU.
Choose by clicking on the respective course applied for. Results will open in a PDF format. The PDF document will have the roll number and rank of candidates selected for admission. Check the results and take enough printouts for counselling stages.
AMU 2020 Cut Off
Cut off marks are the minimum marks required to qualify for the examination. The cut off marks will be released along with the result. Cut off marks are different for each category. Candidates can apply for admission as per the cut off marks released by the authority.
AMU 2020 Counselling
Counselling for AMU begins after the release of AMU Merit List 2020. The admission is performed through an offline mode. Admission list of shortlisted candidtes will be displayed on the notice board of the concerned Faculty/College/Centre/Proctors office, and others.
Candidates have to appear at the counselling center right on time along with the fees for counselling. Seat allotment is performed by rank, category, filled choices, and availability of seats.
