Siksha O Anusandhan University Test is managed by Siksa Anusandhan University. The SAAT entrance exam is organized as a University level exam that is conducted every year ofr admission to several UG and PG courses.

Applicants must qualify the admission test to gain admission in B. Tech, M. Tech, B.Sc. Nursing, B. Sc Agriculture, M.Sc. Agriculture and other courses as well. Candidates can check the Important dates of entrance exam given below:

The SAAT Application Form has been released.  The applicants can check their application forms online from the official website. The Applicants can fill their application forms from 2nd January 2020. All application forms will be filled online. Any other means of filling the application form will not be entertained.

Candidates should fill the application forms carefully online. It is requested by all candidates to upload their latest photo and signature in the dimensions as prescribed. The applicants would have to fill separate application forms if they are applying for more than one course.

All applicants must ensure not to send any hard copy to the officials. The last date for filling the application form is 31st March 2020. Take necessary printouts and keep it until admission process.

There is no application fee for SAAT 2020 entrance exam.

Application Process detailed

Visit the official website. Click on the given link. Later press the Send Verification Code tab. A message will be sent to you registered email id or mobile number. Login using your user id provided along with the password.

Next, fill the details of the application form carefully. Upload your scanned photo and signature in the application form. Note that the image size should not be less than 1MB and in .JPG or .JPEG format.

After filling of the application form click on Submit. Double check the entered details and take necessary printouts till the counselling process gets over.

SAAT 2020 Exam Pattern

The SAAT entrance exam will be conducted online and offline in second week of April up to last week of April 2020. Question paper is of objective type. A total of 120 questions will be there. English is the Medium of question paper.  

The duration of the exam is 3 hours. The marks would be of 480 marks. 4 marks is given for every correct answer. 1 mark is deducted for each question answered incorrect.

SAAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

All candidates must refer the eligibility criteria before applying or filling of the application form. B. Tech course applicants should pass their 10+2 classes from any recognized Board.

Candidates must secure a minimum of 45% marks in general category and 40% marks in SC/ST categories. All applicants must pass with Mathematics and Physics as main subjects in the exam.

B. Pharma courses aspirants must pass their 10+2 class from any recognized Board. They should pass with PCM/PCMB along with English subjects in their qualifying exam. M. Tech course candidates should pass their B. Tech or equivalent from a recognized University.  

They should obtain a minimum of 50%marks in their qualifying exam, while the SC/ST category candidates should score minimum 45% marks in their respective exams.

SAAT 2020 Exam Admit Card

The authorities issue Admit cards to those candidates who have successfully submitted their application form before the last date. The admit card is available online.

The admit card will be released on 4th April 2020. Kindly note candidates, the admit card is not transferable to persons.

Candidates should examine their hall ticket for any discrepancy. In case of any discrepancy, candidates should immediately contact the Director of Admissions.

Steps to Download the Admit Card

Navigate to the official website. Click on the given link. A new window opens on your screen. Enter your Username and Password in the mentioned spaces. Click on Login. Your Admit Card appears on the screen.

Download your admit card and check for any mistakes. If any mistakes are there, contact the Director of Admissions for rectification on the admit card.

What the Admit Card should contain?

  • Name of the Candidate
  • Father Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Category
  • Gender
  • Address of the Candidates
  • Venue of Test Centre Allotted
  • Test Schedule
  • Photograph
  • Instructions, etc.

Exam Reminders

Exam center is open only for half an hour before the schedule exam.

Candidates without a proper admit card and a valid Identity proof will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

The seats should be occupied by the candidtes within 15 minutes before the start of the exam.

Applicants should sign on the attendance roll sheet before the exam begins.

No electronic devices should be brought to the exam hall.

Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall until the entrance exam gets over.

SAAT 2020 Results

SAAT results can be obtained online. The results are published a few days after the examination is over. The SAAT Rank Card shows the rank, allotted to them on their performance in the exam. Applicants can enter their application number and roll number to check their results.

SAAT 2020 Counselling

The SAAT counselling will begin from 5th May 2020. Counselling will be carried out in offline mode. Separate rounds of counselling will be available for those candidates who have a valid score card in JEE MAINS 2020. All counselling venue and time will be published for shortlisted candidates on the website.

Counselling is done in person along with proof of all necessary documents. If the candidates cannot attend the counselling sessions, then they can allow their parents to attend the counselling along with all supporting documents.

Seats are allotted based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam. Depending on the ranks scored, the shortlisted candidtes would be called for counselling on different dates.

Seats allotted mainly depend on availability of sets and choice of the shortlisted candidate. A proof of seat allotment is provided as provisional seat allotment letter for all shortlisted candidates.

SAAT 2020 Counselling Procedure

Merit Lists are released by the university. In the merit list, candidates can check their ranks and whether they qualify for the counselling stage.

All shortlisted candidtes would have to be in person at the time of counselling. The facility of choices for counselling is provided.

The University publishes the seat allotment letter on the website and the candidate can report to the counselling center for admission formalities as needed.

The date and time will be mentioned in the call letter for counselling.

Confirmation status of seat allotment is sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number.

The selected applicants must verify their documents and confirm the seats.

Based on submission of counselling fees the seats will be confirmed for the candidate.

The payment should be a demand draft drawn in favour of Siksa O Anusandhan university, payable at Bhubaneswar.

Candidates should bring their originals at the time of admission.

Documents for Counselling

  • SAAT 2020 rank card
  • A valid Photo Identity Proof (Aadhaar UID)
  • 10th Mark Sheet and Certificate
  • 12th Mark Sheet along with Certificate for passed out students. (Students Appearing 12th Exam should bring Admit Card).
  • Caste certificate in original as issued Tahasildar of state of residence of parents.
  • Two sets of photocopies of the above documents.
  • 2 recent passport size colour photographs
  • A Demand draft of Rs.30, 000/- drawn from any nationalized bank in favour of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, payable at Bhubaneswar.
