TS LAWCET is a TS Law Common Entrance Test that provides admission to 3/5 year law courses like LLB. The admission is organized by conducting entrance exams for             law aspirants offered by State Universities in Telangana State including affiliated colleges by Osmania University, Hyderabad of Telangana State.

The TS LAWCET 2020 Application Form has been revised inviting applicants to fill on 2nd March 2020. Osmania University will conduct the TS LAWCET 2020 on behalf of Telangana State Council for Higher Education.

The entrance exam is a state-level entrance exam offering admission to three year and five year Undergraduate Law courses. Important Dates for TS LAWCET 2020 are summarized below:

TS LAWCET Application Form

Candidates must go through the application process before filling the Application Form. The Application form is provided online to our aspiring candidates in Law. The TS LAWCET 2020 Application Form will be released on 2nd March 2020. All applicants should pay the required fee amount to fill the application form.

The applicants must enter their details such as personal, qualification information, addresses and other mandatory details.

The applicants must upload their scanned images of recent photo and signature in the specified format instructed in the Application Form Guidelines.

Correction facility for the Application Form for TS LAWCET 2020 will be provided in third week of May 2020.  The final date for submission of application forms is 6th April 2020.

They can submit the Application form late latest by 20th May 2020. The candidates should not send the hard copy of the application form to the concerned authority/University.

The general candidate’s application fee is Rs.800/- and Rs.500/- for            those of SC/ST category. An extra fee processing charge will be applied.  The application form fee can be paid online via internet banking/credit card/debit card or by TS Online/AP Online centres in offline mode.

Steps to fill the Application Form

The applicants must go through the steps mentioned for filling the Application Form:

Visit the official website of TS LAWCET 2020. Press the Online Application Form tab. Next, click on Fee Payment option. Enter the details such as Qualifying Examination Hall Ticket No., Candidate’s Name, DOB, Mobile Number, Email ID, stream or other asked details.  Later click on Initiate Payment button. Choose the mode of payment and pay the application form fee.

Once the payment is completed, a message Transaction is Successful appears on your screen along with the Payment ID. Do not forget to collect the fee receipt that contains a payment reference ID.

Next step is to know your payment status. Click on know your payment status to check the status. Enter the asked details for logging in. Click on Check Payment Status button and the status will be displayed.

The step of Filling and Uploading of scanned images is the next step. Press the Fill Application option to fill the details and submit the application form details. Enter the payment reference ID, Qualifying examination Hall Ticket number, Date of Birth and Mobile Number. Next, click on Proceed to fill Application Form button.

Fill all personal, qualification, communication details and course applying for along with other details in the application form. Now, upload your scanned images of signature and photo as specified in the application form guidelines.  Review the filled details and click Submit button.

Click on the Print Application button after submitting all application form details. take multiple printouts and keep it for admissions process. Kindly note, the application form should be submitted at the exam time.

TS LAWCET Eligibility Criteria

The applying candidates must be an Indian citizen and be a resident of Telangana State. All residential status will be as per the state government norms. All candidates must specify the local/non local status. There is no age limit to apply.

Candidates applying for LLB 3 year course, should have a three year graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Those applicants appearing for their final UG degree can apply.

Candidates of both categories must obtain a minimum of 45% marks in their UG programme. Candidates of the reserved category should obtain a minimum of 40% marks in their UG programmes to apply.

Those candidtes who apply for an LLB 5 year course, should have passed the Intermediate exam or any other examination equivalent to intermediate from the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education or any other recognized Board of India.

Applicants appearing in their last year of 10+2 exam can also apply. Those appearing candidates must clear their final year of Intermediate in 2020.

Candidates of both categories must obtain a minimum of 45% marks in their UG programme. Candidates of the reserved category should obtain a minimum of 40% marks in their UG programmes to apply.

TS LAWCET Exam Pattern

The exam pattern contains details like marking scheme, mode of examination, duration of the exam, type f questions, number of questions, maximum marks and many more. The TS LAWCET exam pattern includes all information regarding written test and its pattern.

The details are also highlighted in the information brochure as specified in the website. the candidates will get an exposure to the questions asked through the Exam Pattern.

The entrance exam will be conducted in online medium. Question papers will be published in English, Telugu, and Urdu languages. A total of 120 questions will be asked. The time limit for the exam is 90 minutes. The marks for the question paper is 120 marks. 1 mark is given for each correct answer.

TS LAWCET Syllabus Pattern

For 5 year Law course, the standard expected syllabus is prepared from the Intermediate level and for 3 year Law course, the standard is Degree Level.

The TS LAWCET test is designed to evaluate the candidate’s ability and aptitude to pursue the study of Law. The test consists of three parts.

Candidates should study their syllabus prescribed by the official authority. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the topics of the syllabus and study with concentration.

TS LAWCET 2020 Admit Card

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) will issue the admit card of TS Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET) 2020 from May 21, 2020, onwards. TSLAWCET 2020 Hall Tickets will be issued only to those candidates who will submit the application form before the last date.

The admit card or hall ticket for TS LAWCET 2020 is an essential document without which no candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of TSCHE only.

Download your Admit Card

  1. Visit the official website of TSCHE – https://lawcet.tsche.ac.in 
  2. On the main page, click on ‘Download Hall Ticket’ and a new tab will open up
  3. On the hall ticket login window, enter your registration number for TS LAWCET, date of birth (in Day/Month/Year format) and qualifying exam hall ticket number i.e. Class 12th hall ticket number for five-year integrated LLB course and Degree hall ticket as registered for three-year LLB course 
  4. Click on “Download Hall Ticket” button, and the admit card will appear on the screen 
  5. Cross-check all the details mentioned in it and in case of any discrepancy, report it to TSCHE 
  6. However, download the admit card for TS LAWCET 2020 irrespective of the discrepancy found or not.

Necessary Details on the Admit Card

The admit card is an important document because it mentions necessary information related to candidates and exam centre as under: 

  • Name of the candidate
  • Photograph and signature of the candidate
  • TS LAWCET Registration number of the candidate
  • Exam Name, date and timings (exam time and reporting time)
  • Allotted test centre name and location 
  • Instructions for the exam day

TS LAWCET 2020 Results

Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) has declared TS LAWCET Results 2019. Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of TSCHE conducted the state level law entrance examination for five-year LLB course and three-year LLB course on May 20, 2019, from 11 am to 12:30 pm. 

The results for both the courses have been declared on the same day. Candidates can check their results for TS LAWCET 2019 by login on the official website using their hall ticket number and date of birth.

  3. Enter TSLAWCET 2019 hall ticket number & date of birth.

TS LAWCET 2020 Cut Off Marks

Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) will declare cut off for TS LAWCET 2020 before conducting the counselling.

The cut off marks is released separately for colleges accepting TS LAWCET Scores. Moreover, the cut off is available category-wise for General/ Open category, Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe as well as Backward Class.

TS LAWCET 2020 Counselling

The counselling of Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) will be conducted in the first week of October 2020. Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) conducts the counselling in online as well as offline mode.

The counselling is conducted on the basis of the rank list which is prepared according to the results of TS LAWCET exam. The counselling will be held separately for the three-year LLB course and the five-year integrated LLB courses.

TS LAWCET 2020 counselling will comprise online option entry, choice locking and provisional seat allotment as well as document verification and reporting to the allotted colleges.
