The KJCET professional entrance exam is regulated by Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Exams. It is a state level entrance exam for the Jammu & Kashmir state. It aims at providing admission to engineering especially B.Tech and BE courses only.

JKCET exam application form
The Application form is filled online. They can apply for JKCET 2020 from 12th March 2020. And the last date for submitting the application form is 31st March 2020. They should be aware that while filling the exam form, uploading of scanned photo and signature is essential. The applicants have to check and verify all details before submission. Incomplete or incorrect application forms will be rejected. The exam authority will not provide any correction facilities later on.
There is no need to send a hard copy to the exam conducting officials. The following documents are needed for filling of application form:
- Permanent Residence certificate
- Date of Birth certificate (D.O.B)
- Mark sheet of qualifying exam.
- Reserved category certificate (if applicable)
The Application Fee can be paid through Integrated Payment Gateway by credit card/debit card/net-banking. A sum of Rs.1200/- should be paid by all categories.
JKCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must be a permanent resident of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh. The applicant must be 17 years of age as on 31st December 2020. The candidates must qualify their intermediate or equivalent from any recognized board/university.
They must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the primary subjects. The applicants must have secured 50% marks in the genera while 40% marks in the reserved category. Appearing candidates of the 12th exam is also eligible.

Detailed filling of the Application Form Steps
Visit the official website. press the Apply online for Common Entrance Test 2020’ link. Read all instructions carefully. Now click here to fill application link. Next click on Apply.
Fill in all required details such as email ID, phone number etc. in the application form. The uploading of recently scanned photo and signature in the prescribed format.
Recheck and verify the filled details. Now click Submit. Next proceed to Click here to make payment option. Read all instructions and guidelines carefully.
Enter the application number, date of birth, and click the Submit option. Proceed to the payment screen. A confirmation page will be generated in the application form after paying of the application fees. Take multiple print outs and keep it for counselling.
JKCET 2020 Admit Card
Only those candidates who have successfully paid their application fee can download the admit card. The JKCET Admit car can now be downloaded from the BOPEE website. The admit card should be attested by a Gazetted officer. The admit card contains details like venue, exam date, exam center and subjects.
Important Points
- Candidates must affix a recent passport size photograph on electronic admit card downloaded.
- Candidates must bring any one of the photo ID proof, i.e. Election ID card/Aadhaar card, PAN Card, Driving License, Photo ID issued by concerned school/college/Employer, passport, etc., on the day of the exam.

JKCET 2020 Results
The results can be checked online by visiting the official website. The Board announces the results in second week of May 2020. The exam results will be declared a few days after the exam. You can check your results by:

Merit List
Merit lists are prepared for different courses offered on the basis of inter-se-merit & eligibility of the candidates. The Merit List is prepared in descending order for the Open Merit Category and similarly for the Reserved Category separately.
Candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks in the entrance exam as prescribed by the Jammu & Kashmir reservation policies.
In case of equal marks scored by the two candidates, inter-se-merit is prepared by following:
- Marks obtained in Mathematics subject of the Entrance test.
- Marks obtained in Physics subject of the Entrance test.
- If marks obtained in Mathematics and Physics components are equal, candidates older in age are selected.
JKCET 2020 Counselling
Counselling begins from first week of June 2020. They have to fill online preferences form from the official website. A fee of Rs.1200/- must be paid as counselling fee. The fee can be paid via online using debit card/credit card/net-banking. The authority declares the seat allotment list of candidates for admission to colleges in J&K.

JKCET 2020 Counselling Procedure
Candidates must verify their originals along with s elf attested xerox of the documents as per the document verification schedule. The shortlisted applicants will be called as per their rank for the counselling process.
Candidates are allowed to practice mock exercise (rehearsal) by filling up of the preferences to get a clear idea of their choices. The real filling up of the preference forms gets started from first week of June 2020.
Candidates must deposit a Fee of Rs. 1200 by online to gain the counselling schedule. Once submitted the preference form of the candidate will be locked. Candidates can modify their choices by locking their preferences. No modifications are allowed later.
Candidates are informed via online mode about allotment of seats. The university releases a list of shortlisted candidates for admission. The seats are filled on the basis of merit-cum-preferences with reservation rules as applicable.
