What is B.Tech. Biomedical Engineering?

Biomedical engineering is defined as one of the suitable engineering branches in the country which deals with the study of engineering principles. These principles are further combined with the rules of medical sciences aiming to streamline the healthcare services.

The health care services, expenditure is likely seems  to witness an increase, due to the increase of awareness and population growth. Moreover, spreading awareness of medical advancements have led to an rise in the number of people seeking biomedical solutions cases for their health related issues. This will evenly witness an increase in the employment graph of biomedical engineer professionals. These reality things are evident to prove the fact that the growth rate of biomedical engineers is likely to be much faster than the average path for all the present and existing occupations.

The study of biomedical engineering is  broadly classified as an array of diagnostic and therapeutic applications. This branch of engineering and sciences is a fascinating multidisciplinary area of study that entails the application of engineering techniques in order to assist practitioners like doctors and physicians in their healthcare practices. Study of this branch also helps them in the rehabilitation of disabled patients.

Candidates prospecting Biomedical engineering as a career option, candidates can pursue 4 years BTech program or 5 years integrated BTech – Mtech programmes at the undergraduate level. After completing their graduation, students can also study 2 years of MTech course  program in Biomedical Engineering.

Biomedical Engineering involves in some specific terms such as  design of instruments, devices, and software, to bring towards the knowledge from many technical and development sources to develop new procedures or findings or to conduct research which are needed to solve clinical problems.

A biomedical engineer uses the traditional way of engineering theory and techniques to analyze and solve all the problems as of  in Biology and medicine providing an  all over enhancement of health care.

The course highlightsin Biomedical engineering which includes clinical engineering, tissue and genetic engineering, biomechanics, medical imaging, system physiology,, bio-materials etc. These are the various methods which are applied in medical health treatment.
