What is B.Tech. Marine Engineering?
B.E. Marine Engineering is a undergraduate (UG) level course program which involves the instruction in the design and maintenance of propulsion systems and design of steering of tankers, submarines, sailboats, and other marine vessels. The main core topics in this course program are Navigation, laws, Naval architecture, Ocean structures, waves, Planning of projects, Technical information, Ship geometry, Movements, Towing and mooring.
Marine engineering is a branch of engineering studies that mainly deals with the constructions and also with the operation of mechanical equipment of seagoing craft, and harbor installations. The basic job of a Marine engineer is to design, build and maintain vehicles their structures used on or around the water. This may also includes ships, aircraft carriers, submarines, sailboats, tankers etc.
Marine engineers are incharge for the ship’s internal system which has the propulsion, electrical, refrigeration and steering systems.

Marine engineering is usually the study of Watercrafts or engineering related with of boats, oil, ships, rigs or other types of marine or structure as well as ocean engineering. This study of engineering includes theories and principles of applying mechanical or electrical engineering into vehicles of the water. It is also combined with a designing a ship or submarine, repairing and looking caring of it.
Marine Engineering is also called as Oceanic Engineering or Oceanographic Engineering as it is based on working with water propellers or propulsion technology. It also includes working on automation, piping technology or control systems. A marine engineer can be a part of a team of Navy forces as technicians or pilot. One can be hired as technical staff of Cargo ships or Submarines.
