Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram was established in 2007 and it is declared Deemed to be University from the University Grants Commission [UGC]. It is an autonomous body which is under the Department of Space, Government of India. The institute’s first chancellor was Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. This institute was formed with the idea of producing high-quality manpower for the Indian Space Research Organization [ISRO].The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is offering high quality of education at undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and postdoctoral levels on areas with special focus to space sciences, space technology, and space applications.

National Institute of Technology, Calicut is an autonomous university established in the year 1961. It’s an institute of national importance with well-equipped research centres and offer quality education of international standards. Government College of Engineering – [GCE], Kannur

The long cherished aim of North Kerala is to have an institution of higher learning in technical education. It was fulfilled through the establishment of the Government College of Engineering, Kannur in October 1986. The college is functioning in a large 75-acre (300,000 m2) unified academic complex, having sound and self-sufficient infrastructure, at Mangattuparamba, 15 k.m from the headquarters of the Kannur district. The present intake is 335 students per year for B.Tech.
