Kazakh National Medical University was established in the year 1930 in the rural area of Almaty city is one of the premier medical universities of Kazakhstan. The government of Kazakhstan raised KazNMU to the status of the national university in the year 2001. Karaganda State Medical University (KSMU) founded in 1950 is one of the premier medical universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
