Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, Perinthalmanna in Kerala was established in 2002 designed to help individuals to pursue a career in pharmaceutical sciences. The vision of Al Shifa College of Pharmacy is to promote value based education to students for serving the needs of the society and to bring innovations for excellence in health care sector. The College aims at achieving exemplary standards in pharmaceutical education and research by developing young professionals who meet the challenging requirements.

Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, Perinthalmanna, Kerala — Course, Fees & Duration
The College offers B. Pharm, Pharm. D, M. Pharm and D. Pharm Courses.
The eligibility for B. Pharm and Pharm. D courses is pass in 10+2 examination or equivalent examinations with 50 % marks, conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or Examinations equivalent there to with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually. The candidate shall fulfill eligibility before the last date of application.
A candidate who has passed the B. Pharm Degree Examination of Kerala University of Health Sciences or an examination equivalent thereto of any other university recognized by the Kerala University of Health Sciences with not less than a total of 50% marks is eligible for admission to M. Pharm course.
The candidate should have undergone B. Pharm in an institution approved by AICTE & PCI. Candidates who have passed their B. Pharm course outside Kerala will be eligible for admission only if their qualifying examination is recognized by the Kerala University of Health Sciences on the date of application/allotment. The candidate shall fulfill eligibility before the last date of application.
To be eligible for D. Pharm course, a candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Kerala State with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics as optional subjects or any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent thereto.

The College of pharmacy has a modern infrastructure with well ventilated spacious class rooms, equipped laboratories, machine room, analytical room, animal house, and seminar hall with LCD facility, medicinal garden, museum, separate common room for boys and girls.
The College of Pharmacy has laboratories that are on par with the latest standards of the State.
A museum that has a collection of nearly 150 plant drugs with herbarium is well maintained with a display of various health care products.
The college has a spacious Library with a vast collection of books and manuals for the support of students, Faculties, researchers. It has separate reference sections for both our students and faculties. The latest journals (both National & International), periodicals& newspapers in regional language and English are available in the reading room.
Students, faculty and staff have access to the computer labs, which provide the tools and technologies to produce websites, edit papers, complete class assignments, communicate via email, and conduct data analyses and access library resources. Microsoft Windows software is available for word processing, statistics, spreadsheets and database management. A variety of graphics and website-creation software programs are also available.
The lab has 20 personal-computing workstations with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, plus printer and scanner capability. A number of special software packages, such as graphic, web design and statistical analysis programs, are also available.
There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostel amenities and educational facilities are helping the students for leading a balanced life of study and leisure. The students are provided with cupboards, cots, chairs and tables. Vegetarian or Non-Vegetarian mess is provided as per the choice of students.
The Drug Information Centre (DIC) is headed by professionals who carry with them rich experience in the relevant field having the highest academic credentials. Apart from imparting the professional education to the PG students specializing in Pharmacy Practice, and also for the students undergoing Pharm. D course, the DIC is functioning mainly to help all the Consultants and the professionals engaged in the health care sector to know about the new drugs being introduced, their uses, side effects, doses and all specific information about the drugs.
The college regularly organizes 15 days of ofindustrial visits, 3 months internship training program, personality development program, for the upliftment of the students. The college provides good ambience for the growth and development of the faculty which include staff stability, get together programs, domestic tours and environment for research. The College organizes interactive learning environment and industry visits, workshops, seminars, lectures for the students to excel. Research activities are focused on novel drug delivery system, drug discovery from natural products and clinical pharmacy.
