Telangana University was established in the year 2006. It is a state university situated in Nizamabad,Telangana. The University is the 1st among the recently shaped institute in the state to get the University Grant Commission (UGC). It is the 3rd largest University next just to Kakatiya University (Warangal) and Osmania University (Hyderabad) in Telangana State. The University is also the 1st among the recently shaped Universities in the state to launch Ph.D program in 13 disciplines.
Telangana University has 3 unique campuses i.e., South Campus at Bhiknoor, Main Campus at Dichpally, and the Third Campus is at Sarangapur.
