Sri Ramanujar Engineering College (SREC), Chennai was established in 2002 which is managed by Swamy Educational Trust. The College is situated in Kolapakkam, Chennai.
The Vision of the College is be a leader in imparting education of International Quality in the fields of Engineering, Technology and Management and imbibing social and moral values, among the students, especially rural youth. The College seeks to continually prepare students to become competent professionals, by providing state of the art learning environment with highly motivated and experienced faculty.
The College is committed to maintain high standards of quality through Teaching, Training and Creative works bridging theory with practical. For this, the college strives to maintain good corporate excellence and professionalism, freedom of thought in academic inquiry, innovativeness, team work and adaptation. The quality of performance is monitored and reviewed from time to time through the implementation of an effective quality management system.
Sri Ramanujar Engineering College provides six UG and four PG degree courses within the fields of Civil, Mechanical, Information technology, Management, Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The College is affiliated to Anna University.
The school is well-equipped with high class facilities like a contemporary computer lab with the newest configuration and also with an online connection, digital library, and special classes for special students and also a canteen.
Every department has a Technical Association with all students and staff as members serving as a forum to organize student symposiums, Conferences, Industrial Visits and Guest lectures. Technical paper presentations and technical quiz are the main events at these symposiums. The conferences, etc. serve to share the recent advances and research trends in engineering. Students are encouraged to work on cutting edge technology and present their findings in various conferences held in reputed institutions.
Frequent Guest lectures by distinguished industry experts and academic professors are organized by the College to enable the students to keep abreast of the latest developments in the respective field. Industrial visits of the students help them to learn more about industry working and practices.

The College has a modern infrastructure. It is well-equipped with high class facilities like a contemporary computer lab with the newest configuration and also with an online connection, digital library, and special classes for special students and also a canteen.
The Computer Lab is provided with latest configuration computers with each student using one dedicated computer.
The College Library is well-stocked with a wide range of Engineering books and other resources. The College also subscribes to variety of National and International periodicals and journals and takes pride in having a Digital Library section with high speed internet connection.
The College accommodates the students in separate hostels for both boys and girls. Beds and cupboards are available inside the rooms. The mess serves nutritious and hygienic food for breakfast, lunch, snack time and dinner.
All high valued computer systems are provided with back up through two uninterruptible Power Supplies of 6KVA and 3 KVA capacities. The entire campus is wi-fi enabled with Jio access points at the most of the tutorial areas.
Games promoted by the College are Basket ball, Badminton, Volley ball and football help to maintain the student’s physique and remain healthy. Sports day is an annual event in the college where students get an opportunity to exhibit their talents.
The college has installed 4 power generators (two
165 KVA and two 125 KVA) to maintain power in classrooms, laboratories during
class hours and in Hostels during night and study hours.
The campus features a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant which provides pure healthy water to all or any students and staff. Special Canteen facilities are made available for the students and staff. The college has engaged with Tagore Medical College Hospital for providing all kinds of emergency medical aid to students and staff.
