Who does not want to learn engineering when opportunities strike at the door? Surely, all those aspiring to become one professional engineer would apply at UPSEE for 2021. UPSEE is the State level entrance exam conducted by the Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University of UP (Uttar Pradesh).  

The UPSEE exam is organized in April or May of 2021. The notification for the session is generally released either in December 2020 or in January 2021. According to the norms of the AKTU University, UPSEE exam from 2021 has been discontinued for B. Tech admissions. These admissions will be made, based on JEE MAIN Scores.

The exam opens up multiple opportunities for admission into courses of engineering, architecture, Pharmacy, design, Management, computer applications and many more.  Students can also get entry to B. Tech and MCA through lateral entry. Through UPSEE scores, students get entry into various private/government & other affiliated institutions of UP.  Postgraduate courses such as MBA, MCA, and Lateral Entry programmes like B. Pharm, B. Tech and MCA are also offered.

UPSEE 2021 Application Form

It is essential for the candidates to refer to the UPSEE Application Form and Application Fee for 2021.

  • All application forms are made available online.
  • The procedure of filling the application form begins with registration, uploading of images in prescribed formats, paying of application fees and printing of the confirmation page.
  • The UPSEE 2021 application form is made available online from fourth week of February 2021.
  • Candidates are required to upload their images within the prescribed formats to avoid rejection of applications.
  • The applicants are advised not to send the confirmation page or printed application page to the University.

Payment Details

All application fees can be paid online through online medium. The fees can be paid either by using debit card/credit card /net-banking or even e-wallets. The breakdown for the application fee is as shown below:

  • UPSEE Application Fee for General/OBC – Male/Transgender Candidates will be Rs.1300.
  • For Female – SC/ST/PwD Category, the application fee will be Rs.650.

How to correct/edit the application form?

Please refer the steps mentioned below to edit or correct the application form duly filled:

  • If there arise any mistakes while filling the application form, the university provides a correction facility online.
  • All corrections can be made from the last week of March to the 1st week of April 2021.
  • It is important for the candidates to make the corrections within the defined period as any changes after the scheduled dates will not be allowed.
  • However, corrections will be allowed only within certain fields.

Course Wise Eligibility

All applicants must refer the qualification criteria for various courses under the UPSEE exam:

B.Tech, B.Des & Integrated MCA 12th passed with Physics and Mathematics and any one subjects from Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects with minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
B.Arch 10+2 level passed with Physics and Mathematics and any one subjects from Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Engineering Drawing / Technical Vocational subject with 50% aggregate marks.
B.Tech (Bio-Technology) 12th passed with Physics and Mathematics/Biology and any one subjects from Chemistry/ Bio-Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.
B.Pharma 12th qualified with Physics & Chemistry and any one subject among Mathematics/ Bio-Technology/ Biology / Technical Vocational Subjects with minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/ MBA(Integrated) 12th passed with any stream securing 45% marks without grace and 40% for SC/ST categories.
MBA/MCA Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) candidates.
For MCA, a candidate must have passed Mathematics at 12th level or Graduation level.
B.Tech – LE Students must possess an engineering diploma or B.Sc. Graduates with Mathematics subject in 12th level
MCA – LE BCA, B.Sc (IT/ Computer Science) degree holder are eligible to apply.
B.Pharm – LE Students having a diploma in Pharmacy are eligible to apply.

UPSEE 2021 Exam Pattern

It is always advisable to at least glance through the exam patterns before applying:

  • The UPSEE exam is conducted offline.
  • The question paper is of multiple-choice format. However, the drawing test is subjective.
  • A time limit of 3 hours is allotted to the candidates appearing for the exam to complete.
  • Each correct answer fetches the applicant 4 marks.
  • There is no negative marking for all wrong questions answered.

UPSEE 2021 Syllabus Breakdown

The syllabus for the UPSEE 2021 is questions from the subjects of 10+2 level for undergraduate courses, while, graduation level questions for postgraduate courses.

  • For B. Tech, the syllabus will be set from various topics from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics studied at 12th level.
  • For B. Pharma, the syllabus will be set from topics from Physics, Biology and Chemistry subjects studied in 10+2 level.
  • For PG admission into various courses, the syllabus will be set from the respective graduation subjects.

UPSEE 2021 Admit Card

The admit card for UPSEE 2021 will be available for download in third week of April this year (2021). It (Admit Card) will be available after successfully completing the application process.  In case any mistakes or faults are found, the students must immediately contact the UPSEE helpline desk or through email to get it resolved before the exam.

UPSEE Answer Key

The students can get the answer keys online afte3r the results of the entrance exam have been displayed. UPSEE 2021 Answer Key will have all the right answers of the questions asked in the entrance test.

Students will be also able to submit objections against the answer key. Any objections regarding the answer key can be submitted till the first week of May 2021.

UPSEE Results 2021

Students will be able to check UPSEE 2021 result through online mode. UPSEE Result will be declared on the website in the last week of May 2021, in addition to the authority will prepare a separate merit list. In the case of candidates securing same marks, then the tie-breaking criteria will be applied.

The students also get an opportunity for scrutiny of answer sheets on payment of Rs. 5000/- per paper within seven days of the release of the result.

UPSEE 2021 Counselling

The counselling of UPSEE 2021 will be organized in various rounds. It will get started from the last week of June 2021.

UPSEE counselling will be held through online mode. Students have to appear for counselling process as per the order of merit list. Students have to register for the counselling, pay the fee and verify the documents.

Preparation for UPSEE 2021 Entrance Exam

Applicants aspiring for this exam must make a study plan as per the syllabus and available time. It is important to get all available details on the prescribed syllabus and plan your preparation accordingly.

Time management is critical at these peak times. Dividing the time equally for all subjects is very important. Prepare a time table to allow equal time for all subjects and to cover all subjects thoroughly.

Prepare from defined study materials and from mock tests online. It is advised to prepare only from well-reputed books and institutes for getting a hands-on experience on the topics.

Being healthy is the most essential criteria at these stressful times. Take a sleep of 8 hours minimum a day to avoid confusion and other similar disorders.

Take regular breaks while studying to avoid too much stress and strain. Try yoga and meditation to keep your mind calm and composed.  Try mock tests apart from preparing from books and preparatory notes. Practice online mock tests to get a feel of the exam and the topics covered.

Maintain Social Distancing

Students should be careful and follow the social distancing forms. They should keep a proper distance with other students all the time, avoid touching different things, wear face masks and hand gloves, etc.

Parents to be avoided gathering at centres

As parents accompany the students to the examination centers, they are advised either not to come to the centers with their children or avoid staying at the centers. This has been suggested in order to prevent overcrowding.

Proper Sanitization

Every centre will be properly sanitized before the exam to ensure the safety of the students. Students would also be expected to follow the rules at every turn to keep safe.

Phased Entry

The entry of students will be made in a phased manner to avoid grouping of many students at a time. It means students will enter the test centres in different slots. They will also be expected to enter the exam hall one by one while maintaining the prescribed distance.

Social Distancing

It will be ensured that there is a proper distance between the seats of the students to avoid any kind of contact. Also, students will have to wear face masks and gloves during the exam.

Barricading

A barricading will be set up at the JEE Main exam centres to keep parents and others at a distance from the centres to avoid crowding.
