CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) is an annual national-level examination for admission to various undergraduate, post graduate and Ph. D courses in various Central Universities.  This exam is organized by 14 central universities of India on a rotation basis. To get admission into these Central universities in these courses, candidates have to qualify this test.

The undergraduate courses include B. Tech, Integrated B. Tech, Integrated B.Sc., Integrated B.Ed., B.Sc., B.A.,LLB, B. Des, etc.

The PG Courses are LLM, M.A., M.Ed., M.Sc., M. Arch. M. Phrma, M. Tech, MBA, etc.

CUCET 2021 Application Form-Points to be noted/ensured.

  • CUCET 2021 Application form will be released in second week of March 2021.
  • The application form is required to be filled by the candidates in online mode.
  • Candidates need to fill complete details carefully in the form, like educational details, personal details, etc.
  • Candidates are required to upload passport size photo graph and signature as per the prescribed format.
  • The application form can be submitted till third week of April 2021.
  • Candidates have to fill three university choices and three courses for each university.
  • Candidates will be also able to correct details in the application form in case of mistakes.
  • CUCET application correction facility will be provided through online mode.
  • Candidates are advised to take printout of the application form.

Application Fee

The application fee can be paid through both online and offline mode via debit card, credit card or net banking. Candidates can pay offline fees via e-Challan of SBI bank.

The category wise application fee is given below in the table:

CUCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, the candidates are required to check whether they satisfy the eligibility criteria indicated below.

  • Nationality:  Candidate should be an Indian citizen.
  • Appearing: Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for this exam.

Qualification:

  • UG Courses: Candidates must have passed 10th and 12th level from a recognized Board/ University to be eligible.
    • PG Courses: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Board/ University to be eligible in the respective course.
    • Ph. D Courses: Candidates applying for the M. Phil/Ph. D courses must hold Master’s Degree from a recognized Board/ University.

Guidelines for Scanned Photos and Signatures

Before applying online, an applicant is required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her

Photograph and signature as per the specifications given below:

PHOTOGRAPH IMAGE:

  • Recent passport size colour picture against light-coloured or white background
  • Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face
  • Ensure a front face photo; no angular photo acceptable
  • Eyes should be open; no squint-eyed photo acceptable
  • Ensure there is no “red-eye”
  • If you wear glasses make sure that there is no reflection and your eyes can be seen clearly
  • Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it
  • Must not cover your face.
  • Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
  • Size of file should be between 20 KB to 50 KB

SIGNATURE IMAGE:

The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black/ Blue Ink pen.

  • Only the applicant needs to sign; no other person can sign on behalf of the applicant.
  • Signature will be used to put on the Hall Ticket and other places where necessary.
  • Applicant will be disqualified if at the time of the examination his/her signature on the
  • Answer script, does not match the signature on the Hall Ticket.
  • Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).
  • Size of file should be between 10 KB to 50 KB.

UPLOAD THE PHOTO & SIGNATURE

There will be two separate links for uploading Photograph and Signature

2. Click on the respective link “Choose File Link”.

3. Browse & Select the location where the Scanned Photo / Signature file has been saved.

4. Select the file by clicking on it.

5. Click the “Upload” button in Your Online Application otherwise you will not be registered unless you upload your photo and signature as specified.

Note:

a. In case the face in the photograph or signature is unclear, the applicant’s application may be rejected.

b. Applicants are advised to take a printout of their system generated online application

Form after registration.

c. In case the photograph or signature is unclear, applicant after editing his/her application

should upload his/her  photograph or signature once again.

CUCET 2021 Exam Pattern

  • The exam will be conducted in offline (pen paper based) mode.
  • The time duration for each paper will be 2 hours.
  • The questions will be of multiple-choice type.
  • 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer.
  • 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

How to Fill the CUCET Application Form

For CUCET 2021 Registration, the applicants will be able to fill the application form through online mode. Candidates are instructed to fill the application form carefully. The form filling procedure consists of nine stages.

Step 1. Registration:

  • Visit the website link.
  • Click on ‘Click here for New Registration’ tab from the main menu on the website.
  • On click apply button, you will reach the registration for UG, PG and RP link.

Step 2.  Selecting a Course

  • Read the items you need to be ready with before filling application form.
  • Click on any one of the links given for various courses as per your choice.

Step 3.  Confirmation of Registration

  • The registration page will be opened as per the selecting course.
  • Fill the details such as candidates’ name, email id, date of birth and mobile number and choose the password according to you.
  • Click on ‘Save & Proceed’ button.
  • After successful registration, candidate will receive a mail and message on their registered email or mobile number.

Step 4. Registration Details

  • Fill the registration details.
  • Here, candidates have to fill the personal details, details of qualifying exam (10+2), details if already studying in some other university, address for correspondence and examination centre.
  • After filling all above required details, candidates have to read the declaration.
  • Tick on ‘I Agree’, enter verification code and click on ‘Save & Proceed’.

Step 5. Photo & Signature Upload

  • In this step, candidates have to upload their photograph and signature.
  • Select file by click on ‘Choose File’ button.
  • Upload the scanned photograph & signature of size between 10 KB to 50 KB.
  • The dimensions should be Photograph (200 x 230 pixels) & signature (140 x 60 pixels).
  • Enter verification code and click on ‘Upload images & Proceed’.

Step 6. University & Course Selection

  • Now, candidates have to select the university and course as per their choice.
  • Candidates can select up to three universities with their courses.
  • Enter university code and course and click on ‘Save & Proceed’ button.

Step 7.  Editing/Correcting the Application Form

  • In this step, candidates can edit their filled-in application form.
  • Check carefully all details which you have provided in each of the steps given above.
  • If you want to edit them, click on ‘Edit Application’ or if not then click on ‘Submit & Make Payment’ button.

Step 8. Payment Process

  • Click on ‘Submit & Make Payment’ to pay the application fee.
  • Select any one the payment option, enter verification code and click on ‘Make Payment’.

Step 9. Application Form View

  • In this section, candidates can view their application form and can check payment status.
  • After successfully submitting the all information, take printout of it.
  • Must take extra printouts of it and keep it safe till admission in any of the university.

CUCET 2021 Syllabus

Under graduate Courses.

  • Physics: Magnetics effect of current, matter, heat and thermodynamics, waves, electrostatics, current electricity, linear momentum and collision, rotational of rigid body about a fixed axis, measurements, motion in one dimension, motions in two dimensions, law of motions, power and energy, work
  • Chemistry: Redox reactions, chemical bonding, general organic chemistry, thermodynamics, colligative properties of solutions, isomerism, polymers, periodic table, electrochemistry, catalysis, colloids, chemical equilibrium and kinetics, acid-based concepts, solid state and petroleum, atomic structure
  • Mathematics: Trigonometry, probability, algebra, dynamic and statics, calculus, vector, co-ordinate geometry
  • Biology: Mechanism of organic evolution, origin of life, human genetics, animal physiology and comparison between periplanata and blatta, applied biology, protoplasm, ecology, cell differentiation plant tissue, stem and leaf, soil and photosynthesis.

Syllabus for PG COURSES:

  • M.A./M.Ed. Courses: Culture and social change, education and philosophy, learning and motivation, growth and development, intelligence, current issue, personality, teaching process, method of teaching.
  • LLM Courses: Public international law, human rights law, property law, constitution, law of torts, criminal law- Indian panel law, law of evidence, criminal and women law, Labour law, environmental law, law relating the international trade

Candidates will be able to download their CUCET 2021 Admit cards in second week of May 2021 by entering their registration id and date of birth. The admit card will be available in online mode after the completion of application process.

Candidates are advised to check complete details in the admit card carefully i.e. exam centre, time and date, address etc. before downloading the admit card. Candidates must bring their admit card on the exam day, otherwise they will not be allowed to sit for the exam.

CUCET 2021 Results

Candidates can check their CUCET 2021 Results online in the third week of June 2021. Results will be prepared by the authority on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination.

The central universities will prepare merit list for UG and PG students on the basis of marks obtained by the students in the exam. Results published online can be checked by the students by entering their User id and password.

CUCET 2021 Cut Off

The Central Universities will release their CUCET 2021 cut off in online mode. The cut off will be prepared on the basis of candidate’s performance in the common entrance examination.

Candidates have to score cut off marks to be eligible for admission in the universities. The cut off will be based on various factors like availability of seats, candidate’s performance in exam, etc.

CUCET 2021 Counselling Process

After the announcement of the results, shortlisted candidates will be allowed to attend the counselling rounds. The universities will organize their separate counselling in online mode. Through the counselling, seats will be allotted to the candidates.

Candidates who wish to secure admission in participating universities are advised to fill the admission form of the respective university.

On the day of counselling, candidates have to carry admission form with various other required documents. Candidates have to carry original documents for admission procedure.

Candidates are advised to carry the following documents required on the counselling day:

  • 10th and 12th Mark sheets
  • 10th and 12th certificates
  • CUCET 2020 Scorecard
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Caste certificate
  • CUCET 2020 Admission form & Passport size photographs, etc.

CUCET 2021 Preparation Tips.

The following preparation tips will be helpful for the examination:

  • Candidates must make a proper time table and study schedule.
  • Revision on the daily basis.
  • Try to understand the basic concepts clearly and then solve the questions easily.
  • Solve the online test, mock test and solve the previous year question papers.
  • Eat healthy food and stay fit during the preparation period.
  • Improve your English language skill by reading newspapers or from more sources.
