CUSAT 2021 is a combined entrance examination conducted by Cochin Science & Technology University for admitting students in various UG & PG courses affiliated to the University. The examination is a university level entrance exam organized as Common Entrance Test (CAT), Lateral Entrance Test (LET) and Department Admission Test (DAT) for providing admission to its various programmes. The candidates can also apply on the basis of GATE and MAT marks. The last date to submit the application form without late fee will be in the last week of February 2021. The exam will be conducted in 1st Week of April 2021.

CUSAT 2021 Application Form
The CUSAT application form will be notified online soon. The date for submission of application form without late fee will also be notified soon.
Candidates who wish to apply for courses like PhD, M. Phil, Diploma, post-graduation diploma and certificate programs will need to submit the written application personally or through mail from the related department.
Candidates applying on the basis of GATE Score or MAT should email a soft copy of their Score Sheet/Mark List to CUSAT on or before the final date for on-line submission of application. The candidate is required to keep a copy of submitted application.
While filling application form, candidates are required to upload a passport size photograph & signature in the JPG/ JPEG format. It is essential for all the candidates to provide valid/ working email ID & phone number in the application form.
There is no need to send any hard copy of filled in application form for further use. The candidates may take multiple printouts of application form for further use.

CCUSAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria details to avoid rejection of their application form. It will be necessary for candidates to understand the criteria well.
Candidates must be Indian national citizens or NRI/Foreign citizens/PIO/OCI category candidates. Aspiring B. Tech students will have to qualify 12th or equivalent examination from any recognized board or university with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as mandatory subject.
Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, & 50% in PCM taken together. M. Tech students must qualify in B. Tech or any equivalent examination from any recognized board or university.
Candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks
in the qualifying exam. All Candidates should have a valid GATE score card
to qualify the exam.

How to fill the Application Form
Candidates are required to go through the following step by step procedure while applying for CUSAT 2020:
Step 1 is filling of the Registration form. Registration details that include name, DOB, age, email ID and mobile number may be entered. Choose a username of 6 to 15 characters.
There will be three options available in login page, first option for Indian & NRI candidates, second option for lateral entry candidates and third option for international Candidates/PIO/Children of Indian Gulf Workers. Choose the relevant option. After filling all the details, submit them.
After successfully completing the registration form, One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered Email ID & mobile number of the candidate.
By using this password, first and then immediately change your password. After successfully changing the password, candidates are required to login again with their Username & password.
This Username & password are to be used throughout the application procedure. Keep them safe for further use.
Step 2 is filling the Application Form. After logging in, select the right option from the three options available on the extreme left corner of the page. Then proceed to fill the details in the application form by following the instructions mentioned on the screen.
Fill Personal & Academic Details: You are required to enter your name, DOB, gender, category, father’s name, complete address, etc. Also, your academic/qualification details may be entered as requested in the page. Choose your exam centre as convenient for appearing the exam.
Uploading Scanned Images: Candidates are required to upload their scanned photograph & signature in the application form as per the under mentioned specifications:
- Scanned Colour photograph should be of file size between 4 KB and 100 KB & dimension should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm.
- Scanned signature should be of file size 1 KB and 30 KB & dimension must be 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm.
Step 3 is Payment of Fees. Three options are available for fee payment, viz. debit/credit card and net banking. But no offline mode is available for fee payment.
- After clicking the option “Online Payment” available on the home page of the screen, make the payment using credit card/debit card or net banking.
Note: Candidates should check their application status as “Confirmed” after three working days of the payment of fees & print the confirmation page.
They need not send the confirmation page by post. It serves as the proof of the application submission.
CUSAT 2021 Exam Pattern
- The CUSAT CAT 2021 exam is through online (CBT) mode.
- The question paper will have 250 objective types of multiple choice questions.
- The duration will be 3 hours.
- The question paper will have a total of 750 marks.
- For each correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded, but for the wrong answer, 1 mark will be reduced.

CUSAT 2021 Counselling Procedure
Candidates will go through the various stages of the counselling. In each stage, it is important to meet the eligibility otherwise, the candidature may be cancelled. The stages of counselling of CUSAT CAT are as follow.

CUSAT Counselling Registration
This is the first stage of the counselling process wherein a candidate has to register himself/herself. In order to register for the CUSAT CAT 2021 counselling, use of the login credentials such as User ID and Password.
CUSAT Choice (Option) Filling
After completing the registration process, candidates can fill the colleges according to their preference. Select the colleges in which you are interested to take admission and then lock & submit the choices. If any candidate fails to lock & submit his/her choices then it will be done automatically.
CUSAT CAT 2021 Seat Allotment
The seat allotment will be made considering the rank, college preference, seats available etc. CUSAT seat allotment result will release online and a candidate can access it by using the login credentials. Download the seat allotment letter and carry it with to the allotted institute.
Fee Payment
After the release of the CUSAT seat allotment result, candidates will have to make fee payment. If a candidate fails to pay, the fee within the prescribed time then his/her seat will get cancelled.
On completion of the payment process, candidates will be notified about the date and time to report to the allotted college. Carry original as well as two sets of photocopy of the documents. Check the list of the documents required for the document verification below.
