IISC Admission 2021 Application Form will be made available in the 1st week of February 2021 in online mode for UG & PG courses. Admission will be offered based on the scores of JEE Main, JEE Advanced, CEED, JAM, NEET, KVPY and other national tests. Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore does not conduct any entrance examination to offer admission.
Admission into M. Des course will be made based on GATE/CEED 2021 score after a design aptitude test and interview. For getting admitted to M. Tech and M. Mgt programme, there are GD and PI interview rounds after getting shortlisted based on GATE/CAT/GMAT Scores.
The Aptitude Test conducted by IISC Bangalore is only for M. Tech and M. Mgt courses.

IISC 2021 Important Dates
Candidates must check the officially announced dates for the IISC Examinations for the UG courses. To get admission into these courses, candidates will have to qualify the national level exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, CEED, JAM, KVPY and other exams.
On the basis of national level score, candidates can get admission in the university. Also, candidates will have to appear for GD and PI interview rounds after getting shortlisted based on GATE/CAT/GMAT Scores to get admission in M. Tech and M. Mgt programmes.

IISC 2021 Exam Schedule
Candidates wishing to get admission in the IISC for the current year can know the details of some events here. The IISC 2021 application form for the various programmes has started from February 2021 onwards.
Candidates can access the application forms through online mode. There will be no need to send any hard copy of filled in application form to exam conducting authority.
All application forms can be filled through the website only. Candidates will be able to fill the application forms till 4th Week of March 2021 respectively.
Incomplete or incorrect application form will not be accepted, so candidates must fill the form carefully & completely.
Once application form is submitted, candidates have to proceed to submit the application fee. The application fee will be different as per category and courses.
Candidates are advised to also go through its eligibility norms before applying for IISC 2021.
IISC 2021 Application Form Availability
- Application form is available through online mode.
- Candidates can fill their application form with all the correct details like educational and personal details from February 2021 onwards till 4th Week of March 2021.
- Candidates can fill their application form till 4th Week of March 2021 for PG and till4th week of April 2021 for UG.
- Candidates must upload passport size photograph, signature and parent’s signature in the form.
- Reserve category candidates must upload caste certificate in the application.
- There will be no correction facility provided after submission of the application form.
- Take a printout of the filled application form for further admission procedures.
Application Fee, which is non-refundable, can be paid through online mode using a debit card, credit card or net banking. The fee structure for UG and PG courses is given below.

IISC 2021 EXAM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
For UG Courses:
- Candidates must pass 10th and 12th examination from any recognized Board/ University.
- Minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates appearing for 12th final examination in 2021 can also apply for IISc.
- Candidates must have a valid scorecard of the under mentioned national level examination with a given percentage:
JEE Main/JEE Advanced /NEET UG:
Candidates must appear in 2021 and secure minimum of 60% (General), 54% (OBC-NCL) and 30% (SC/ST/PWD) aggregate.
For M. Tech:
- A B. Tech/B.E. degree from any recognized university.
- Applicant must have a valid scorecard of GATE 2021.
For M. Des:
- A Bachelor’s degree in B. Tech/B.E. /B.Arch. and B. Des.
- Candidates must have a scorecard of CEED or GATE
For M. Mgt:
- A Bachelor’s degree in B. Tech/B.E. courses from any recognized university.
- A valid score card of CAT, GATE and CMAT examination.

How to Apply for IISC 2021 Exam?
The complete procedure for applying to the IISC Application Form is indicated below:
- Visit the official website and click on UG/PG.
- Click on ‘New user to register to click here’ tab.
- Register by entering the name, email id and mobile number.
- An email will be sent to your mobile number or registered email ID.
- Click the link and fill the application form with personal and educational details.
- Fill the details related to the scorecard of JEE Main, NEET, KVPY, GATE, JAM and CEED etc.
- Submit the details and then upload the signature, photograph and documents.
- Fill the application fees details.
- After that click on the ‘submit’ tab.
- Take a printout of the filled application form for further steps.
IISC 2021 Rank List
After the application process, the rank list will be announced based on the performance of the candidates in the national level entrance exam. Candidates will have to qualify any one of the test among – KVPY, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, GATE, CAT, CEED, CSIR-UGC NET/ JRF, JAM, DBT JRF, ICMR JRF, JEST to be eligible for admission in various courses.
For M. Des and M. Tech (Electronics System Engg, Climate Science, Computational Science, Earth Science, Electrical Engineering) courses, candidates have to qualify the aptitude test after being shortlisted based on GATE Scores.
For candidates belonging to different reserved categories separate merit list will be prepared by the board. Candidates will be called for interview on the basis of merit list.
IISC 2021 Cut Off
IISC 2021 Cut Off will be the minimum marks to qualify. It will be released through online mode for various categories. The cut off will be based on no. of students applying for exam, difficulty level, previous year cut-off trends, etc.
The board will publish the cut-off rank for various programmes. It will be different for various categories.
IISC 2021 Admission
IISC 2021 Admission will be done as per the selection procedure of various courses. Selection will be done through national level scores followed by interview rounds.
However, admission into M. Tech (certain fields) and M. Des will be done through aptitude test and interview after being shortlisted through GATE/CEED scores.
Candidates who will be eligible based on scores will be shortlisted in the merit list released by board online.
The candidates have to register through Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP), to choose preferences and for seat allotment.
