MAT 2021 or Management Aptitude Test is an entrance examination conducted on a national-level by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to MBA/PGDM courses. The exams are organized four times in a year, in months of February, May, September and December. Qualified candidates are eligible for admission to B-schools that accept MAT scores.
MAT exam is conducted online and offline (i.e. computer-based test and paper-based test). The option for preference mode is given to the candidates. MAT exam scores stay valid for a year. Candidates who wish to appear for the MAT exam can apply online.
The MAT 2021 registration commenced from 4th January 2021 and is up to 1st March 2021. The registration process for MAT 2021 includes creating a login id, filling of an application form and paying of requisite fees to complete the registration process.

Browse the website for the official website of MAT 2021. Press the Register button.
This will direct you to a page for registration details. If you are entering for the first time, then click on New User. You must enter the mandatory details like Name, Phone number, email id, Date of Birth and password.
It’s always advised to confirm and then press the Submit button. Candidates will receive an OTP (One Time Password) on their registered mobile number regarding MAT exam registration details.
Verify the phone number entered. And click on Login again to complete the registration process. Select the mode of Test (CBT or PBT) along with city of choice.
Enter your personal details, a valid email address and the correct address for communication from the authority. The test centre will be allotted and mentioned on your admit card after the above-mentioned steps.

What if I forgot my password for MAT 2021 login?
In cases of forgetting the password, the candidate has to click on the Link “Forgot Password” in the MAT window. Enter your basic details that include email address, mobile number, date of birth and identification details to recover the password.
You will receive a link sent to your registered email address. Press the link to recover your password for MAT 2021.

Un-notified Mistakes while Filling the Application Form
Try to avoid un-necessary spelling mistakes while filling the application form. The documents should be matching with the entered details in the application form. Always check the fee status for undue delay in filling the application form. All entered details should be recent and correctly filled.
Make sure to upload the scanned photo and signature as specified in the application form guidelines. No provision for editing is entertained after the documents have been submitted.
MAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can appear for the exam, provided they fulfil the following:
Applicants who are graduates from a recognized university in any stream can apply. The authority also allows those candidates who are in their final year of graduation to apply.
A minimum mark in graduation is essential to sit in the MAT 2021 entrance exam. No limits have been specified for a candidate to appear. He/she applying must be an Indian citizen. Foreign nationals are also eligible.
MAT 2021 Exam Pattern
MAT 2021 exam has been designed by AIMA. The question paper designed includes five sections – Indian and Global Environment, Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning.

Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
Each wrong question answered will be 0.25 marks.

MAT 2021 Admit Card
Candidates who have registered can easily get their admit cards online. The candidates who have registered online, can download their MAT admit cards using their login credentials.
Candidates must download their admit cards before the exam day as hard copies will not be sent to the candidate.

Press the Download tab on the homepage. Choose MAT Admit card from the dropdown menu. Enter your details like Registration number, date of birth and email address and click on Submit. The admit card will be automatically generated on your screen. Download it and print it for further use.

MAT 2021 Results – Have I passed?
MAT 2021 results are to be announced in the last week of February. The exact dates for the results will be announced by AIMA later on. MAT Results contain section wise scores, composite scores, and MAT percentile scores.
MAT 2021 Results Highlights
- Once declared, it is available on the AIMA’s official website and via SMS.
- The scores are scaled in MAT and the range of composite scores is somewhere between 199-801. In the final score, General Knowledge score is not considered.
- The scores for MAT 2021 remains valid for one year for admissions to all Institutes and for colleges to accept MAT score across India.

Visit the official website of the entrance exam. Press the Download/View button. Click on MAT Result. Now choose MAT February Result. The candidate will be directed to the result page.
Enter the details like: Roll Number, Registration Number, Month of the Exam (December). Next, click on Submit button. MAT December scorecard will be generated on the screen. Save the screenshot and take the required printouts.
Note: Test takers have to produce hard copy of MAT 2021 score sheet for selection in further rounds.
MAT 2021 Cut-Off’s
MAT cut-off marks are determined by the participating institutes separately. Separate MAT participating institutes announce MAT cut-off marks for the new academic session at the time of admissions.
The MAT cut-off for admission to a particular institute depends on numerous factors like: Total number of candidates who appeared for the exam, Difficulty level of exam, and Total number of seats.
Once the institutes announce their MAT cut off, candidates can apply for admission if they match the cut off percentile. Candidates have to register separately in every college by visiting the specific college’s official website.
Short listing of candidates depends on the following factors such as MAT scores, Performance in academics, Work experience (if applicable), In case of non-availability of NRI students, seats shall be converted for general intake.
MAT Preparation Tips for Candidates
Candidate who prepare for Language Comprehension section, should thoroughly revise the syllabus and list out the commonly asked topics for this section.
This section is considered one of the easiest to score among all the sections of MAT exam 2021. Therefore, candidates quite often do not prepare for the section well enough. They only revise/go through in the last phase of their exam preparation.
Such common mistakes should be avoided by the candidates, as Language Comprehension is the first section of MAT 2021 exam. If prepared well, then they can attempt all the questions within a few minutes.
This will also save time for attempting other sections as well as to review their OMR sheet in the last minute of the test.
