KCET 2021 or Karnataka Common Entrance Test is a State-Level Entrance Exam organized by the Karnataka Examination Authority. The KCET is held as a state-level exam every year. This exam offers prospective admission to interested students into Engineering, Pharmacy, Architectural and various other professional courses across the State of Karnataka.

Candidates are advised to carefully fill all the details in the application form in order to avoid its rejection.

  • The authority will release the application form through online mode only.
  • Candidates have to fill their personal and educational details in the application form.
  • KCET 2021 application form will be available from February 2021.
  • The application form filling facility will be provided till the First week of March 2021.
  • After the completion of entry of all the details, candidates will get a User Id and password to their registered mobile number and the email Id.
  • Candidates also have to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression in JPG/JPEG format.
  • The official authority will also provide the KCET correction in the application form.
  • The application form will be considered completed only after the payment of the fee.
  • Take the printout of the filled-in application form at the end.

KCET 2021 Application Form Fees

Candidates can submit the application fee through both (online & offline) modes. Candidates residing outside of India have to submit the fee through DD drawn in favour of Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority payable at Bangalore.

The demand draft should be sent to KEA address by mentioning the application number. The application fee is given below:

  • GM, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B candidates of Karnataka origin: Rs. 500/-.
  • SC/ST Category-1 & female of Karnataka candidates only: Rs.250/-.
  • Candidates residing outside the state of Karnataka: Rs.750/-.
  • Candidates residing outside India: Rs. 5, 000/-.

KCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The KEA will only accept the applications of the eligible candidates. So, it is necessary to fulfil all the KCET eligibility criteria prescribed by the official authority. Candidate should be a citizen of India in order to be eligible for admission.

Candidates appearing for their qualifying exams can also appear. But they have to submit the proof of passing the qualifying exam at the time of counselling. The Academic Qualifications needed are:

KCET 2021 EXAM PATTERN                                                                                  

Check the KCET exam pattern and follow it for the exam preparation:

  • The exam will be held through offline (OMR) mode.
  • Duration of exam: For each paper/subject, 80 minutes will be assigned for completion.
  • Type of questions: Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam.
  • Marking scheme: Each correct answer for the question will carry 1 mark.
  • Negative marking: There will no negative marking for incorrect or unanswered question.

KCET 2021 Syllabus Pattern

The KCET syllabus will be set by the KEA only. The question papers of the Common Entrance Test will be based on the first and second PUC syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.

Candidates must study their subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or any other relevant subject to the applied course.

KCET 2021 Preparation Tips

Candidates can follow the given below preparation tips for appearing in KCET 2020:

  • Must go through the syllabus and the exam pattern of the examination thoroughly.
  • Always study the official and to the point syllabus.
  • It is also necessary to be aware with the marking scheme. It may increase or decrease your marks.
  • Always do revision after you complete with your daily study.
  • Make short notes of each subject to revise before 2-3 days of the examination.
  • Make proper time table to study and follow it regularly.
  • Maintain your health good.

KCET 2021 Application Form Filling In

Students will be able to obtain the KCET Application Form 2021 via online mode through the website. The application form will be released from Fourth week of February 2021.

Students will be able to submit the application till First week of March 2021. Application form will not be provided through offline mode. Candidates must not forget to take print out of the application form for further use.

Filling in the Application Form needs careful and detailed concentration. Hence, it’s important to follow the below steps:

Step 1 is Online Registration: Visit the official link of KCET 2020 Website. Now click on the link “New User” and then Click on “Here to Register”. Next, read all the instructions carefully and then click on “Proceed to Apply Online”.

Fill in all details such as Citizen of India proof, Karnataka 2nd PUC Examination 2020 appearing status, Candidates name, Father’s Name, Mother’s name, Gender, Mobile Number, Email Address, User Id, Password, Security question and others to initiate the registration process.

Enter the security code and click on “Submit” button.

Step 2 is Filling of Necessary Details: You will see a Login window on the screen. Enter your User Id, Password and Security Code. Next, click on “Login”button. The Application Form will be displayed on the screen.

Enter the personal details like Candidate Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Gender, DOB, Mobile Number, Email ID, Mother Tongue, Family Annual Income, Religion, Nationality, Category, Exam Centre, etc., along with  qualifying examination name/University/Board/Karnataka 2nd PUC Examination 2021 appearing status, year of passing and so on.

Fill in your communication details and previous years CET details if appeared before. Enter your study details and click on “Save & Next” button.

Step 3 is the Uploading of Images in the Dimensions Instructed: Candidate should upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, left thumb impression and parents’ signature or left thumb impression in JPG/JPEG formats. The image size should be between 5 KB to 40 KB.

The dimension of signature image should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm. The photograph should be in passport size with white background. Select the images and upload them one by one.

Accept Declaration Form. Read the Declaration Form and Tick in the Box. Click on the “Submit” button. Verify all entries and click on the “OK” button.

Step 4 is Payment of Fees: The application fee will be Rs.650/- for general & OBC and Rs.500/- for SC & ST candidates.

Rs.750/- in case of candidates residing outside the State of Karnataka and Rs.5,000/- in case of candidates residing outside India.

The fee payment can be done via the challan of State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Hyderabad, Indian Bank, Axis Bank & SBI bank.

Download the challan form and deposit the fee at the respective bank. After the Fee Confirmation, candidates must take out a print out of the application.

Click on the “Print Final Application” and take a printout of it. These printouts would be necessary later on.

Important Details Regarding KCET 2021 Application Form

Candidates must take care and note down some important details regarding KCET 2021 Application Forms. They are as listed below:

  • Candidates will be able to fill KCET 2021 Application form through online mode.
  • KCET Registration 2021 will be available from Fourth week of February 2021.
  • The last date to fill application form will be till First week of March 2021.
  • Candidates must make sure to go through the eligibility clauses before filling the application form.
  • Candidates will be required to upload the scanned images of photograph, candidate’s and parent’s signature and left-hand thumb impression.
  • The images should be scanned in JPG or JPEG format.
  • The dimension should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm for photograph and 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm for signature.
  • Students must make sure to fill all the details in the form carefully. In case of mistakes in the details, correction or editing facility in the application will be provided.
  • The correction/editing facility will start from Third week of March 2021 tentatively.
  • There will be no need to send the printed application or any other certificate to the KEA.

  • Fee payment can be done through the E-challan.
  • For candidates residing outside India can pay the application fee via demand draft.
  • The DD should be drawn in favour of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, payable at Bangalore.

KCET Admit card 2021 can be downloaded by the candidates from the Second week of April 2021. The KCET admission hall ticket will be available only through online mode.

Candidates without having valid admit cards cannot enter the examination hall. So, it is necessary to carry the admit card on the exam day.

Candidates must carry the government photo Id proof on the exam day to enter in the examination hall. Candidates should keep their admit card till the admission in college or institution.

KCET 2021 RESULTS

The KCET 2021 result will be released after the publishing of correct answer key through online mode. The result will be released in the Last week of May 2021.

On the basis of performance of the candidates in the CET/NEET/NATA and the qualifying examination, the merit/rank list will be prepared and published by the KEA.

All the eligible candidates will be considered for allotment of seats in the order of their merit/rank and based on the options they have submitted.

In case of any discrepancy in the result, candidates can submit their request for changing to the KEA through email.

KCET 2021 counselling will be held through online mode. It will commence from the Second week of June 2021. At the time of counselling, the verification of documents will be done across 15 helpline centres in the State after declaration of results/publication of merit list.

Only upon verification of documents and issue of verification slip, the candidates will be allowed to enter their options. Candidates can enter any number of options of their choice.

The candidates will be allotted the seat, based on the availability of seats in the participating institutions/ universities. Candidates have to report to the allotted college after getting the allotment letter along with the original documents.
