UPESEAT is conducted by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun. It organizes admission to B. Tech programs across 37 disciplines. The entrance exam is conducted online.

UPESEAT Application Form
All applicants must go through the Application Form details as instructed in the Application Form. The application form is available online. The candidates can fill their application form from September 2019. They must enter all required fields such as personal, education and other details.
They must upload their scanned documents and images of scanned signature and photo to the website. No correction facility is provided by the authority. So, the applicants must fill their application forms carefully with latest details.
The last date for filling of application forms is 3rd May 2020. The application fee can be paid online or offline as suitable. Payments can be paid online using debit card/credit card or net-banking. In case of offline payment, the application fees can be drawn in favour of UPES Fee Account payable at New Delhi.

UPESEAT Eligibility Criteria
All applying applicants must be an Indian citizen. Foreign applicants can also apply. The age of the applicant must be on or after 1/10/1998. The applicants must pass their 10th and 12th from a recognized University/Board. The applicants must secure a minimum of 50 aggregate in 10th class and 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics combined.

Steps to Apply for Application Form
Visit the official website of UPESEAT. Register yourselves by entering details like email id, mobile number, etc. Press the Submit tab. Once submitted all details will be sent to your registered mobile number or email id.
Login by entering your user id and password. Fill up the application form opened with important details such as education, address, personal, education and professional experiences if any. Choose your test center and upload your scanned documents of recent photo and signature.
Submit your application form using debit card/credit card/net-banking methods. If paying through demand draft, submit in favour of UPES account payable at New Delhi. Enter your payment details and proceed to make the payment.
A unique number will be provided after submission of the application form. Note down this unique application number and do not forget to take printouts until the admission procedure.
The UPESEAT 2020 Application Form can be filled online. The application form is available on the website. Kindly note candidtes that only if payments are made the application would be treated as successful.
UPESEAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October 1998 are eligible. The candidate must pass their 10+2 or equivalent examination to qualify. A minimum of 50% marks in 10th, and 12th standards along with an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. If the candidate gets on through merit, then a minimum of 80% marks is required in 10th and 12th standards. The candidate also has to achieve 80% aggregate in the PCM field in 12th standard.
UPESEAT 2020 EXAM PATTERN
The entrance exam will be conducted online through computer-based test. The time limit for the exam will be of 3 hours. All questions will be asked in multiple choice question format with a total of 200 questions. English will be the medium of questions.
All questions answered correctly will be given 1 mark and there is no negative marking. The question paper is divided into five sections as summarized below:

UPESEAT 2020 Syllabus
The syllabus of UPESEAT is similar to that of JEE MAIN Syllabus. There would be 5 sections as divided into Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Current Affairs. The questions will be asked on a random basis that covers topics from 10th and 12th standards. The University will not provide any special entrance test for the specified syllabus.
UPESEAT 2020 Admit Card
UPESEAT 2020 admit card will be released from 18th April 2020. Candidate will download the admit card through the website. Candidate will have to paste a passport size photograph on admit card before bringing it to the exam centre.
Candidate will have to submit the application form before or till the last date so that candidate can receive their admit card on time. It will not be provided through offline mode.
UPESEAT 2020 Results
The result of UPESEAT 2020 will be declared in the first week of June 2020. The Merit list will be prepared which will be based on total marks secured in the UPESEAT exam.
UPESEAT 2020 result will display overall, rank- category wise & the section wise marks of the candidate who will appear in the exam. Candidates must keep safe the result for further admission process.
UPESEAT 2020 Cut Off Marks
The cut-off will be the minimum marks required to get admission to the UG engineering programmes offered by UPES. UPESEAT 2020 cut-off will be declared on the basis of factors like availability of seats, number of candidates & difficulty level.
Student can get an idea of cut-off by looking through previous year cut-off. The candidate who will meet the cut-off criteria will be invited for the counselling round. The cut-off will be published separately for various categories & courses.
UPESEAT 2020 Counselling
Only those candidates will get an invitation to participate in UPESEAT 2020 whose name will get short-listed on the basis of result & cut-off. The counselling will be organized through online mode.
UPESEAT 2020 counselling will be a centralized counselling. The candidate will be required to bring all the required documents for the verification purpose & seat allotment process. Counselling will be conducted separately for JEE Main, Board Merit and UPESEAT aspirants.
UPESEAT 2020 Preparation Tips
- Candidate must follow the good study material covering entire syllabus.
- Candidate should make the time table & should strictly follow it so that they can cover syllabus in time.
- Candidate should solve previous year’s question papers, so that they can analyse their performance.
- Candidate should attempt all the questions as there will be no negative marking.
