VIT short form for Vellore Institute of Technology conducts a common entrance exam in centers such as VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT Bhopal and VIT AP. This entrance exam offers admission to B. Tech admissions across various campuses. The exam will be conducted online.

The VITEEE entrance exam application form can be filled by 29th February 2020. It is instructed to candidates to go through the VITEEE entrance exam applying dates before applying.

The VITEEE application form is available both in online and offline medium. Candidates can fill in their details from 27th September 2019. The OMR application form is easily accessed via post offices across India.

The applicants have to apply online by visiting the official website. It is necessary to provide a working email id or mobile number at the time of registration. They are supposed to upload and fix passport size photo and their signature between 10 KB to 200 KB in size.

Foreign candidates have to apply by filling of a separate application form. The University provides the opportunity to make corrections in the application form.  It is always advised to review your entered details before the final submission of application forms. They are requested not to send any hard copy to the officials via post. 

The Application Form fee can be paid both online and offline. The charges for online payment is Rs.1150/- and charges for offline mode is Rs.1250/-. NRI Candidates and candidates who select test centers abroad can apply online for $50.

The payment can be paid online using credit crd/debit card/net-banking. Those who are submitting the application form through demand draft should draw a cheque in favour of Vellore Institute of Technology payable at any of the following campus:

VIT, Chennai Campus

VIT Bhopal and VIT AP. 

Detailed Filling of the Application Form 

Visit the official website and proceed to the registration section. Registering yourself by entering basic details such as name, gender, mobile number, date of birth, email id and nationality, etc.

Verify all details before submission. Verification mail would be sent to the applicant once the registration is successful. Links would be provided for verification to the candidates. They have to click the link and enter all details like email id and password.

The detailed filling of application form begins when candidtes login again using their new email id and password. The candidates have to fill the application form with all requisite details. After the submission by entering and verifying the basic details an application number is generated that has to be kept safe for the counselling process.

Once the application form has been filled the payment process has to be done. The application fee can be paid online using a credit card/debit card/net-banking. After the payment process, candidates have to upload their scanned photo and signature as directed in the application form.

The candidates who are paying offline should follow:

The Application Form can be obtained by paying Rs.1200/- as cash payment at the respective campus/post offices.

Enter your application form with a recent passport size photo in colour. Sign the signature at the specified place and proceed filling of details carefully.  Candidates have to apply offline by making a Demand Draft of Rs.1200/- in favour of VIT University. Once the form is completed, a demand draft is sent to the address below:

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must complete the eligibility criteria for applying to the admission successfully. The candidates will not be allowed to sit for the exam if the exam criteria are not fulfilled. All Indians and Non-Resident Indians can apply. All foreign nationals can apply through Foreign National Application Form. Those candidates appearing for the exam must complete 17 years as on 1st July 2020. All applicants must fill their date of birth as mentioned in the high school certificate. They should produce the high school certificate at the time of counselling as a proof of their age.

Candidtes appearing must have completed /appeared in 10+2exams of the CBSE/ICSE /State Board. They must possess an HSC Examination of Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Organization, from Geneva.

The applicants must pass an intermediate or two years Pre-University exams by a recognized Board/University. Those candidates attending Regular NIOS board are eligible. A General Certificate Education at the advanced level from countries like Sri Lanka, and London. 

Applicants with an aggregate of 60% marks with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology in their 10+2 level exam. Students who studied PCM are eligible to apply for B. Tech Programs. 

VITEEE EXAM PATTERN

The entrance exam will be organized online in CBT mode in three sessions per day. The question paper will contain questions of multiple choice. English is the medium of exam. Questions will be asked on a random base from subjects of Physics, Mathematics/Biology, Chemistry, English and Aptitude sections.

The time limit to complete the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. It will be conducted in three shifts. 1st session from 9.30 -11.30 am, 2nd session from 12.30 pm – 3.00 pm and 3rd session from 4.00 pm – 6.30 pm.

There will be125 questions in total. The breakdown of questions is as summarized:

VITEEE Marking Scheme

The question paper will be of 125 marks. The subjects of Physics, Chemistry. Biology/Mathematics will be of 40 marks while the English section will be 5 marks. Every correct answer is of 1 mark.  There is no negative marking.

The syllabus for the entrance test of VITEEE 2020 contain topics from the subjects of Physics, Mathematics/Biology, Chemistry and English studied in Class 11th and 12th. The questions is from CBSE syllabus and State Board of Higher Secondary Education

The English section will contain questions from English grammar and pronunciation. Also, there will be comprehension questions based on short passages or dialogues or line of poems.

VITEEE Exam Admi Card

The VITEEE admit card is available online. They must book the exam slot. The candidates must be aware that the VITEEE Hall Ticket will bot be sent by post or by other means to them. The authority provides the facility to re-print the admit card after logging in again. Once the slots for exam is booked, it cannot be changed later.

Download your Admit Card

Visit the official website of  VITEEE entrance exam. An online test booking page opens. Enter your Application Number, Password and Security Code and login. Take time to read through the instructions and tick the check box.  Now click on book a seat button. Fill up all necessary details like Test name, International/State details, Test City, Subjects Chosen, Test dates, test center, name, etc.

Once filled, a list of available exam centers and dates will be opened. Click on Book to select and reserve a slot. Read all details carefully and click Confirm button. Press the View My E-Admit card option and the admit card opens up. You can now take printouts of the admit card to use for future.

VITEEE 2020 Results 

The results of VITEEE 2020 will be available on the website vit.ac.in To check the VITEEE results, the applicants have to enter his/her application number and date of birth. 

The University sends the results via SMS and also on email as registered by the applicant. There is no cut off mark set for the VITEEE entrance exam.

Check your VITEEE Results

The candidtes can check their results online. The university does not send any results to the applicant. Click on the link provided for the VITEEE exam results on the website. You would have to enter the Application Number and Date of Birth as required to view the results. You would have to check the I am not a Robot Box and then click Submit.

Once the submit button is pressed, the results will automatically appear on the screen.

Documents for the exam day

All applicants have to bring their admit card along with one ID proof to the exam center. They should also carry a photocopy of the application form and some documents listed:

VITEEE 2020 Counselling

The counselling is held in a multi-campus environment. Seats are allotted based on the VITEEE scores and rank obtained for a particular campus or course. The candidtes will be called three times more than the actual number of seats in case if vacant seats. The candidtes have to carry their Rank Card at the time of counselling. 

VITEEE Preparation Tips

Review complete Syllabus: Before starting VITEEE 2020 exam preparation, candidates must go through the complete syllabus of VITEEE. Each and every topic must be included in the preparation.

Go through the Exam Pattern and Marking scheme:  Candidates before starting the preparation must go through the whole exam pattern and marking schemes of VITEEE. Going through the exam pattern will enable the candidates to know about the number and type of questions, exam mode, time duration and marking pattern of the paper.

Make Smart Strategy: Without a good strategy, preparation is useless. Candidates before starting their preparation must prepare an effective and smart strategy which will increase their qualifying chances.

Understand the concepts: Candidates must clear their concepts of each and every topic coming in the entrance exam. Understanding the concept must be major thing to be followed by the students.
