Vimal Jyothi Engineering College (VJEC), Chemper was established in 2001. It is one of the fast growing, ISO 9001:2008 certified self financing, minority institute. The college is an educational Project and is managed and run by the Meshar Diocesan Educational Trust, Thalassery. College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Kannur university. College has highly qualified and experienced faculty. Hostel: The Vimal Jyothi college has a separate hostel for boys and girls which offers good hostel accommodation for the students.
Medical: The college has Infirmary serves as a place for the good provision of first aid for minor cases such as minor cuts to treat wounds, etc.. Facilities are offered for monitoring blood pressure, temperature, and BMI are available. All major medical emergencies that are referred to the nearest hospital which is under the existing agreement relating to the use of ambulance services and medical care.
Library: The library system of College with around 2,000 books in the initial phase. The VJV library system consists of a central library and five departmental libraries that support the teaching and extension course programs of the Institute together.
Laboratories: The Vimal Jyothi College has laboratory facilities. The laboratory is adequately well equipped with the systems, software licenses, equipment, and other techniques.
Convenience store: Central warehouse takes various college maintenance, repair, safety supplies and office supplies, computers, and furniture items. Central Store is also responsible for purchasing and maintaining an inventory of parts and materials used in college.
