College of Engineering (CEK), Karunagappally was established in 2000. College was established under the aegis of IHRD (Institute of Human Resources Development), the college has made its presence felt in the technical horizon of the state. It has been approved by (AICTE)All India Council for Technical Education. It is accredited and recognized by the Cochin University of Science And Technology. It is a premier institute of engineering that has carved a niche for itself in the field of technical education in a very short span of time. College aims to impart a value based Engineering education through which the students are made aware of social and moral values of life and the need of their readiness to build up a healthy nation.

Building & Labs:
The college of engineering has well designed buildings and separate labs for each department. There are three academic blocks and laboratory workshop block.
Roads
All building in the campus are well connected by roads with proper sign boards posted at every junction.
Placement Activities
The college has an best and excellent campus placement record. To enhance this, regular course programs on Communication English with various institutions are take classes on the campus. Institution mainly focuses the next generation technology and help the students to build their carrier that fullfils their destiny.
P.T.A
The college of engineering maintains very close relation with the parents of the students through a Parent-Teacher Association. There is a P.T.A Executive Committee which conducts meetings in every three months and suggests several improvements if any, needed for the smooth functioning of the college.
Transportation
Though the college is well connected to major towns through public transport system during peak hours and the college has its own transporation facilities. The college offers two bus services that running four trips each to two directions for the facilities of the students in and around Karunagappally.
Water supply
A more than sufficient water distribution is installed in the campus. Three major water tanks of around 1000 liter each is installed.
Library
The College has a well furnished library and information centre which stacks with a lot of books of interest including technical text books in several subjects, various journals, magazines and news papers of national and international standards. The library has a collection over an area of 5000 volumes of books. The carpet area of the library is around 1000 sqm.
The Library contains over 11583 books, 18 journals and 12magazines, 3 e-journals, 1000CD ROMs.
