Karpagam Institute of Technology (KIT), one of the top Engineering colleges in Coimbatore, was founded in 2007 by a far-sighted educationist, Dr. R. Vasantha Kumar. The college is situated at NH47 near Eachnari in Seerapalayam Village in Coimbatore. The College has a mission of imparting excellence in top quality technical education and research.
The vision of the Institute is to provide quality engineering education that transforms individuals into intellectuals by fostering research, entrepreneurship and innovation and to be a valuable resource for the industry and society through the best engineering practices in the college.

The Institution offers B.E./B. Tech Courses in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

For B.E. /B. Tech courses, minimum educational qualification of the candidate should be 10+2 and should have minimum 45% of mark in his/her studies as per the norms of Anna University.
One of the subjects at Higher Secondary level should be mathematics.
The cutoff marks is decided by the Institute every year.
