AMU 2021 (Aligarh Muslim University) organizes a university level entrance examination for admission into various UG & PG courses in different fields such as engineering, law, science, management, etc. Only Indian & NRI candidates can apply for this exam. AMU 2021 Application Form

  • AMU 2021 Registration Form will be made available through online medium only.
  • The last date to submit the application form without late fee will be third week of February 2021.
  • While filling application form, candidates must upload passport size photograph, signature & left-hand thumb impression.
  • Candidates are advised to fill single application form for multiple courses as more than one application form will lead to rejection.
  • All important information will be sent to candidates registered number & ID, so candidates must not forget to provide a valid/ working mail ID & mobile number.
  • Incomplete application forms will lead to rejection, therefore, candidates must fill all the required details completely and carefully.
  • Authority will not provide any correction facility, so candidates are advised to re-check & verify the details before submission.
  • Candidates must ensure that they fulfill each eligibility norm, as application forms will be accepted only of eligible candidates.
  • Once, all details are completely filled, candidates must not forget to take printouts for future use.

Application Fee:

  • Candidates will be able to submit the application fee via online as well as offline.
  • Online mode of payment includes credit card, debit card or net banking.
  • Bank challan of ICICI & Canara bank of Demand Draft (DD) method will be used via offline mode.
  • DD must be drawn in favor of “Financer Officer” payable at Aligarh.

AMU 2021 Eligibility Criteria

  • Only Indian Nationals will be eligible.
  • A few seats will be also earmarked for foreign nationals/children of Non-resident Indians (NRI).
  • Maximum age limit will be 21 years as on 1st July 2021 for Diploma Courses.
  • Maximum age limit will be 19 years as on 1st July 2021 for SSSC Courses.
  • Maximum age limit will be 24 years as on 1st July 2021 for Graduate courses.
  • Maximum age limit will be 27 years as on 1st July 2021 for Postgraduate courses.
  • Madrasa passed out candidates shall be given a relaxation up to three (03) years in the Maximum Age Limit for all course of studies at all levels.
  • Appearing Candidates also apply.

Qualifying Criteria

Courses Eligibility
AMUEEE (B.Tech) & B.Arch. Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination from AMU or an equivalent examination from a recognized state/central board. Subjects: The qualifying examination should be passed with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English subjects. Minimum Marks: Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam. Diploma Holders: Students who have completed diploma in engineering from this University with minimum aggregate of 50% marks will be also eligible to apply.
MBA/MBA (IB) Qualifying Exam: The qualification required to apply for MBA programme is bachelor’s degree passed in any discipline. Minimum Marks: Score a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in above exam.
MCA Qualifying Exam: Pass B. Tech. / B. Arch. / B.E. with minimum aggregate of 55% marks.
OR
Pass Bachelor’s degree in Science with 55% aggregate marks & must have studied Mathematics with any two subjects (Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Application, Computer Maintenance, and Information Technology).
Diploma in Engineering Qualifying Exam: Must have passed Secondary School Certificate of this University or an equivalent examination with English, Science and Mathematics by securing minimum 45% aggregate marks.
OR
Pass Senior Secondary School Certificate examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics by securing minimum aggregate of 45% marks in these subjects.
BUMS Qualifying Exam: 12th or its equivalent passed with PCB with minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Age Limit: Age should not be less than 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
B.A.LL.B. Qualifying Exam: Students who have completed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% aggregate marks are eligible for this course.
OR
Graduates of Deeni Madaris who have completed Bridge course from AMU with not less than 50% aggregate marks are also eligible to apply. Maximum Age Limit: 22 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.
M.A. (Mass Communication) Qualifying Exam: Prescribed qualification for this course will be graduation. Minimum Marks: Passed with minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
M.Sc. Biotechnology Qualifying Exam: Minimum educational requirement is Bachelor’s degree studied in Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Agriculture & Veterinary Sciences.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Technology (B. Tech.) or Medicine (M.B.B.S.) or B. Pharm with 55% marks.
OR
Those who have completed M.Sc. first year in relevant discipline with 55% marks or completed 3-years B.Sc. degree will be also eligible to apply.
LL.M. Qualifying Exam: The qualifying examination for this course is LL.B./B.A.LL.B. Passed from AMU or any other equivalent University. Minimum Marks: Pass the above exam with minimum 55% marks.
Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery Qualifying Exam: Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination passed from this University or an equivalent examination. Minimum Marks: Passed the qualifying exam with not less than 40% marks in aggregate of any one (Science/Arts Stream with English Core/English Elective or Health care Science – Vocational stream only or Vocational ANM). Age Limit: Age should be in between 17-35 years as on 1st September of the year of admission. No age criteria for ANM registered candidates.
B.Com (Hons.) Qualifying Exam: Prerequisite qualification is Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination passed with commerce stream or its equivalent with minimum 55% marks in aggregate of English, Accounts and any two of the subjects from Economics, Business Studies, Business Organization, Commerce, Banking, Entrepreneurship, Mathematics, & Statistics.
OR
Pass Diploma in Secretarial Practice examination from AMU with at least 55% marks.
B.A. (Hons.) Qualifying Exam: Minimum qualification requirement is Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination. Minimum Marks: Passed with at least 50% aggregate marks. Subjects: Pass the above exam in English and three subjects from Accountancy, Arabic, Banking, Biology, Biotechnology, Business Organization, Business Studies, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Education, English, Fine Arts, Geography, Hindi, History, Home  Science, Islamic  Studies,  Mathematics,  Persian,  Philosophy, Physical  Health Education, Physics, Political Science /Civics, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology, Statistics, Urdu and Modern Indian Languages (Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi and Kashmiri). OR Pass Degree/Sanad from recognized Madarsa/Institution with at least 50% marks. OR Pass Bridge Course (for Graduates of Deeni Madaris) from AMU with at least 50% marks.
B.Sc. (Hons.) Qualifying Exam: Pass Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination. Minimum Marks: Pass the above examination with 55% aggregate marks. Subjects: Pass the examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics.

Candidates should check all the eligibilities given above in order to fill the application form. If candidate do not fulfill these eligibilities, then they will not be allowed to sit in the examination. So, they should read through the AMU 2021 eligibility criteria completely.

AMU Hall Ticket 2021 can be downloaded through online medium only. Candidates are advised to take a clear printout of the hall ticket,  because it is considered as a valid admit card.

Without a valid admit card, no candidate will be permitted by the examination authority to sit in the examination hall. Candidate should keep their admit card till the completion of exam as well as for admission in the university.

After downloading the admit card, candidates will have to paste their recent passport size colour photograph in the space provided on the downloaded admit card (same as affixed on the Application Form).

AMU will conduct the exam for various courses on different dates. The B. Tech exam will be organized in May 2021. Candidates will be able to download the admit card for B. Tech course online.

The admit card will be made available for the candidates for few courses. The admit card will be released on different dates as per the courses.

For B. Tech course, admit card will be released in April 2021. Candidates will be able to check their results for the respective exams after a few days of the exam. The result will be published on the website on different dates for various courses. Qualified candidates must attend the counseling procedure in the university.

  • Open the link in a new tab and you will be  redirected to the university main page.
  • Select the course for which you have applied and enter your application number.
  • Click on’ Download Admit Card’ button.
  • Candidates must also click on ‘Know your Form Application Number’ if they have forgotten it.
  • Your admit card can be opened on your computer screen as per the selected course.

Important Instructions for ALL Candidates

  • In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, candidates have to send an email to the university mentioning their transaction Id, name, telephone number and course.
  • They should bring an extra photograph of size 2.5 x 3.0 cm to be pasted on the attendance sheet in the examination hall.
  • Candidates should bring one photo Id proof along with the downloaded admit card.
  • They should reach the examination center half an hour before the exam begins.
  • Without a valid admit card candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
  • Do not carry any mobile phone, electronic wrist watch, study material, electronic gadget, calculator, log tables, etc.

AMU Answer Keys

AMU 2021 Answer key will be released by Aligarh Muslim University online. Candidates who will be appearing in the entrance exam should check their correct or incorrect answers with the help of answer key. The university will publish the set-wise answer key.

Candidates will be able to access the answer key on different dates as per the courses. The University will publish the answer key for various courses. Therefore, candidates must search their answer key according to their applied courses.

Candidates must report to the university, if they find any discrepancy in the online generated answer key. With the help of answer keys, candidates must be able to calculate their marks before publishing of the final result.

  • On clicking the link, you will be redirected to answer key for various courses.
  • Select your course and the answer key will be displayed in a pdf format.
  • Download the generated pdf and take the printout of it.
  • Secure the answer key till releasing of the final answer key.

Correcting the Discrepancies

The university will provide an opportunity to file an objection, if candidates find any discrepancy in the questions/ generated answer key. In case, candidates find an error or any discrepancy in the answer key, they can object it through online.

Candidates can submit the prescribed application & make a payment of Rs.100 per question (that is non-refundable) within a given time. Candidates can report it to the Controller’s Office directly along with the documentary evidence in support of your claim OR through the link provided above.

Candidates will have to attach the scanned copy of documents in support. Please provide your Name, Roll number and Course name along with the representation; failing which, the application will not be entertained. With the help of the answer key, candidates can calculate their marks before publishing of the final result.

The university will publish the list of qualified candidates who would be selected for further admission procedures. As the exam will be conducted on different dates for various programmes, the university will release the results on different dates.

Candidates must check their results as per the date of exam. For B. Tech courses, the result will be declared in the month of June 2021. The result will be declared through online only.

According to the ranks in the merit list, candidates will be called for the counseling. The counseling will be conducted after the declaration of the result. Candidates must secure the printout of the result till the admission within the institution.

The AMU counseling procedure will be organized separately for all offered courses by the university. On the availability of the seats, the counseling will be conducted in different rounds.

The seats are offered on the basis of merit rank secured by the candidate in the entrance test. The counseling will be conducted in both online & offline medium as per the course.

Based on the ranks, the candidates will be invited to participate in the counseling. Candidates will have to be present at the counseling venue in person along with the documents prescribed.

The counseling for B. Tech will be conducted through online medium. The counseling procedure includes the online registration, choice filling, document verification, seat allotment and reporting to allotted college.
