Established in the year 2017, VIT AP University (also known as VIT Amaravati or VIT-AP or VIT University Amaravati) is one of the four campuses under VIT Vellore University started by VIT Group of Institutions. It is the 1st private University situated in the capital region of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati. The University offers high-quality education to candidates in various streams of education such as Engineering, Management and Law. It also provides national and international industrial exposure to its candidates for their holistic academic development. VIT AP University is approved by the UGC and it is accredited by the NACC, with grade ‘A’. The FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry), Industry Consortium of India is given VIT as ‘Excellence in Faculty of the year 2017’ and ‘The University of the Year 2016’ in India.
VIT AP University offers Full Flexible Credit System (FFCS) and unique teaching-learning methods with flexible programmes, and a unique student-related mentoring scheme. Along with extra-curricular activities, the University specilaise on continuous assessment and gives extra-emphasis on practical learning. VIT AP University provided course such as BBA and BTech at UG level, MTech at PG level and PhD at doctorate level in various specialisations of Engineering and Management. Additionally, the University also offers three integrated programmes, namely BBA+LLB, BA+LLB and BTech+MTech. The ratio of the candidate vs faculty at VIT AP University is 10:1. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders from famous IITs, IIMs, NITs and VIT Vellore campus. The faculty members are well-experienced, qualified, and knowledgeable.

With VIT AP campus area of 200 acres, VIT-AP ensures that the candidates avail the best facilities. VIT-AP facilities are enlisted below:
• Aesthetic, Well planned and well ventilated academic blocks.
• At present, the University has 2 academic blocks that have been designed to provide the different holistic requirements of the teaching-learning process.
• The Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Block [A1] has all the main administrative offices such as Finance Office, Chancellor’s Office, Admissions office, etc.
• The block also has the School of Business [VSB] and all the other major departments such as the Department of Computer Science, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Electrical Engineering, etc.
• The block AB2 contains the School of Sciences and Languages which contains the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, and Languages.
• The University offers different high tech labs for the candidates of engineering, science, and languages.
• There is a language lab along with 5 computer labs, 2 research scholar space, 1 electronic, and 8 mechanical labs.
• Apart from labs, the University provides workshops, seminar halls, and an auditorium.
• Amaravati VIT University provides a cafeteria for snacks and full course healthy meals to its candidates and staff members.
• The library at VIT University offers a rich variety of textbooks, reference books, and scientific journals in the stream of engineering, basic sciences, management, etc. The library is completiy air-conditioned and is equipped with a digital library, reading halls, a reference hall, discussion rooms, and a newspaper section that seats four hundred candidates at a time.
• The University have introduced their bus fleet recently. Day scholars can use the transport facilities provided to come to college from places such as Vijayawada, Guntur, and Tenali.
• On-campus banking facilities are provided for the candidates and faculty.
• The University also provides a well maintained Health Centre to take care of the medical needs and emergencies of the candidates.

VIT UNIVERSITY [VIT- AP], GUNTUR, SCHOLARSHIP
VIT-AP believes in rewarding the meritorious candidates in all possible paths. VIT University Scholarships are offered on the basis of applications received and the candidates eligible for the same.
• Candidates who have scored exceptionally well in their 12th std examinations from any recognised board are eligible for the scholarship.
• The scholarship is in the model of a tuition fee waiver.
• The scholarship can be applied by the candidates who are pursuing a BBA or Ph.D. degree.
• Need-based scholarships are provided to economically backward candidates or those candidates who are under financial pressure.
