Manonmania Sundarnar University is established in southern Tamilnadu. It has a campus spread over 550 acres. It is a dynamic institution for higher learning, it was started on 7th September 1990 by the Government of Tamilnadu. It caters to the needs of the people of the three southernmost districts of Tamilnadu viz., Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, and Kanyakumari.
The University’s main focus is to produce individuals who have the expertise and intellectual Curiosity to make a difference in the profession and the society and in conducting the research needed to meet the challenges facing the contemporary world and her aim to impart quality higher education to the students. This University imparts education at a nominal and affordable cost. Library: The library at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University was started in the year 1990. Itt has been upgraded to a more digitalized version to be in synchronization with present trends of e-content. The students can also access the library e-resources from their own place of stay with the help of the Remote Access method using the secret password. The Central Library of the university has rich collection of almost 1,14,995 books in almost every academics. Hostel: The university offers a residential facility for girl students in Hostel premises. Each room accommodates about 4 students and all the basic facilities are also available at a reasonable cost.
