Erode Sengunthar Engineering College is a private self-financing college established by Erode Sengunthar Educational Trust in 1994. The College is autonomous. It is located at Erode – Perundurai Rd, Post, Thuduppathi.
The Vision of Erode Sengunthar Engineering College is to provide and promote world-class technical education, in particular to the students of backward rural areas, transforming them into holistic personalities and self-developed professionals. The College strives to provide an idyllic study atmosphere, fine infrastructure, qualified and dedicated faculty and standardized systems for a strong career foundation.

Erode Sengunthar Engineering College, Erode – Facilities
The Engineering College at Erode has a modern infrastructure with spacious class rooms, well equipped laboratories and workshops, computer with latest hardware and software, auditorium and seminar hall and Conference hall.
The well built College library collection includes books, periodicals, newspapers, manuscripts, films, maps, prints, documents, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray Disc, e-books, audio books,database and the other formats. The library has 11531 titles of books with 45934 vo;lumes, 11 national, and 107 international journals and 36 magazines. The other resources include 6708 Back Volumes, 656 e- Journals, 4638 e- Books and 3817 Projects. An intranet based Digital Library facility is also available in the Central Library.
There are two hostels for boys and two hostels for girls accommodating 635 boys and 240 girls with well-furnished and ventilated rooms with necessary amenities. The latter includes indoor games, reading rooms, audio, video facilities and telecom services.
The hostel mess serves vegetarian food to the inmates. The hostels are Wi-Fi enabled. All day, power supply is maintained with the help of a generator. Separate recreation hall with TV, Carom, Chess and newspaper is provided for students’ relaxation. Modern gym facility is offered to the students to stay physically fit.
The College provides facilities for sports activities like courts for Basketball, Football, Hockey, Volley ball, Cricket, Tennis, Kabaddi and Athletic track. There is also a gym helping the students to stay fit.
There is also a good canteen and ATM facility.
Visiting doctors take care of the health problems of the inmates. Vehicle is available for the students for any emergency consultation with doctors.
The College provides easy commutation for the students through a self owned fleet of buses scheduled to run at peak college hours for pick up and dropping students at specific points. The College also arranges commutation for industrial visists and tours.

For B.E./B.Tech, minimum educational qualification of the candidate should be 10+2 and should have minimum 45% of mark in his/her studies as per the norms of Anna University. One of the subjects at Higher Secondary level should be mathematics.
The minimum eligibility for various categories for M.E. / M.Tech Degree Courses is a ‘Pass’ in recognized bachelor’s degree obtaining atleast 50% of the qualifying examination (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category). Candidates who pass in the qualifying degree course will appear for TANCET Exam.or MAT/GATE.
For MBA admission, a pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and at least 50 % of marks (45 % in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination is required. Candidates must appear for TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) for M.B.A. conducted by Anna University or the common Entrance Test conducted by Consortium of Self Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamilnadu.
