Indian Institute of Technology, was formally inaugurated in the year 1959 by Prof. Humayun Kabir. The institute has approval from the All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE]. The college is certified to ISO 9001. The college was ranked at 1st place in engineering and 2nd in the overall category by Indian ranking NIRF 2018.
