Bharat Mata College is a first-grade college managed by the government aided sector owned and managed by the Archdiocese of Ernakulam Angamaly. The college was established in the year 1965 and is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and is given “A” grade by NAAC. The college was established with the dream of emerging Kerala and progressive India. College has more than 65% of its students as girls with a total of 1700 students. The Cochin College was established in 1967, in response to an increasing demand for higher education in Cochin. The Cochin college is sponsored by the Cochin Education Society which was started as a result of the joint efforts of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and also the Municipal council. The college was accredited by NAAC with B Grade.
