BS Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology is founded in 1984, formerly it known as a B. S. Abdur Rahman Crescent University is a deemed to be university situated at the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The institute started functioning under Madras University and Anna University in the year (2001–09) as Crescent Engineering College, the institute gained deemed status in the year 2008–09.

The university has excellent infrastructure facilities to successfully carry out the programmes offered. The university spans 50.50 acres of sprawling, serene and evergreen campus with a beautiful ambience.
