Sree Krishna College of Pharmacy and Research Centre run by Sree Sankara National Institute of Educational Trust was established in 2003 and is located at Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram District. Sree Krishna College of Pharmacy and Research Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – Course, Fees & Duration
The College of Pharmacy offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pharmacy apart from Diploma Course. The eligibility for B. Pharm and Pharm. D courses are pass in 10+2 examination with 50 % marks, conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or Examinations equivalent thereto with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually.
For M. Pharm courses, the eligibility is a pass in B. Pharm Degree of any of the Universities in Kerala or of any other Universities recognized by the Kerala University of Health Sciences as equivalent thereto from an institution recognized by the AICTE and PCI with a minimum of 55% marks for all the four years of B. Pharm examination taken together.
For D. Pharm course, candidates with pass in the Higher Secondary Exam (+2) of the Kerala State with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics as optional Subjects and equivalent is eligible.
For Govt. Quota [UG], the Candidates are required to qualify the Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala(KEAM) and should be listed in KEAM Rank List.
A Pharm. D graduate /postgraduate focuses on clinical practices allowing hands-on experience whereas a B. Pharm graduate is research-oriented and skilled in the manufacture of drugs and the discovery of new drugs.

The College of Pharmacy has a modern infrastructure with smart classrooms and well-equipped laboratories with a modular and functional workspace. The laboratories are designed with the safety features imbibed in the infrastructure resulting in an excellent ambience and atmosphere for academic and research work. The laboratories are well designed with a separate preparation room and instrument room as per the curriculum requirements.
The College has a well-stocked library with a seating capacity of 50 and more people. It has 22 current journals, 2599 textbooks, 739 reference books and 46 back volumes of journals. Apart from these, the library has a wide collection of 114 CD’s and DVD’s, 221 online journals and other added facilities.
An auditorium cum multipurpose building with 550 seating capacity is available in the campus. This facility is being used for conducting examinations, various functions and meetings as well as indoor games.
SKCPRC also ensures that the college campus wi-fi hotspot network is available for students, staff, and faculty by allowing authenticated users to access the internet network SKCPRC offers dynamic package creation feature by which one can easily provide a different package for students and faculties as per their need. SKCPRC also offers the freedom to easily roam from a Wi-Fi network to a wired network without logging using its login-once feature.
SKCPRC has separate hostels for boys and girls each with all modern facilities, for boarding and other recreational activities. The hostels have their own mess to provide good and hygienic food to the students. Hostel accommodation is provided on a first-come-first-served basis. Quality purified water is provided to the students using a water purifier. The hostel is equipped with a generator to provide power at all times. 24 hours security service is provided for the hostel.
The canteen is situated within the college campus. It is open for all and there is a separate seating arrangement for staff, students. All types of snacks, soft drinks, meals are available at subsidized rates.
The students can relax by involving in indoor or outdoor games such as chess, caroms, shuttle etc during their leisure time. A centre courtyard is provided within the built-up area for playing shuttle. The students can also watch Television which is available within the Mess hall.
SKCPRC gives equal importance to physical education in order to develop a sound body for a sound mind. The students are trained by a qualified physical instructor. The activities include a selection of teams, a practice session for selected teams, encouraging them to participate in indoor and outdoor games and conduct of annual sports meet.
The institution has 100 species of rare medicinal plants which can be developed and cultivated in the future for research purpose. KCPRC has Drug Information Centre to provide authentically individualized, accurate, relevant and unbiased drug information to the customers and healthcare professionals regarding medication-related inquiries to the patients, public and students for health care and drug safety aspects by prompt answering their inquiries regarding all critical problems on drug information.
Ramp facility is provided for differently-abled persons who need special arrangements in the environment for their mobility and independent functioning
Placement and Training cell functions not only for enhancing employability skills of the passing out students but also the overall development of their personality.
The cell organizes on-campus and off-campus recruitments and pre-placement training programmes through Aptitude tests, Group Discussions, Interviews and presentation skills in collaboration with core departments. Mock interviews and GDs are conducted on a regular basis so as to equip final and pre-final year students to face the challenges of the recruitment scenario.
The college provides transportation for the convenience of its students through a network. Special trips are arranged in the evening, at college, for the students staying back for sports, Hospital, etc.
