Government ITI Attingal (GITIA) was established in the year 1972 in Chirayinkeezhu at Attingal. It is offering ITI training programs under Kerala Government. It offer NCTV training (skill) programs with 22 affiliated trade courses for around 1124 trainees. The college also provides short-term courses for the trainees belonging to ST and SC categories. It is recognised as a 1st grade and highly ranked ITI institute in the Kerala. The trainees get placed through the college placements cell in the NCTV affiliated trades.

The facilities that are provided by the college for its candidates are as follows:
Library: The institution offers 16 books from the Author and publisher- NIMI. These Books are the instruction guidelines given to the trainees for supporting them. Computer Lab: The college provides well-equipped computer labs for improving the computing skills of the trainees. Sports: The trainees are encouraged to participate in major outdoor games organised during ITI meetings. Workshop: The institute hosts a huge number of workshops for the trainees to assist them gain pre-industrial experience.
