Infrastructure:
The college functions with separate departments for all the subjects with the super possible practical/ lab/ clinical sections. The most modern diagnostic aids and digital X-ray systems, dental software, the advanced restorative equipments and, materials, keep the candidates in lieu with the rapidly enhancing dental sciences.
Library:
The library with a seating ability of 100 is an ocean of 3000 books with newer publications and editions added in each year, 25 National and International journals attainable for the undergraduate, and the staff. Computers, E-Library, and multimedia facilities enable scientific presentations, publications and seminars. Internet access to the modern in literature is available with subscriptions to over 46 national journals and international. Back issues of the most vital journals are also available in the library in bound form for the last ten years.
Lecture Halls:
Sri Sankara Dental College has five lecture halls, each one capable of seating 100 candidates. All lecture theatres are well-equipped with public address systems, computers and multimedia projectors.
Auditorium:
There is a conference hall which has a seating ability of 200 students. Continuing dental education programmes are regularly organized here and it is well-equipped with multimedia facilities.
Laboratory:
All laboratories, both pre-clinical and clinical, are well-equipped with facilities to seat the large number of candidates in comfort.
Computer and Internet:
The institute offers 10 desktop computers to its candidates for project work and internet access. In addition, the institute is on process of computerising all departments for record-keeping as well as research purposes. Internet access is through ISDN leased line, and allowed at nominal charges for candidates.

Audio-Visual Section
Video cassettes and CDs form a virtual demonstration room improving the learning process of candidates.

A well-equipped photography section helps in documentation of rare clinical cases for publications and presentations.
Conveyance
The candidate are well supported with transport facility. Buses available daily from Thiruvananthapuram to give easy conveyance. The conveyance system helps the candidates who do not reside in the hostel to commute to and from the institute with convenience.
Hostels
With a well-equipped campus for study, research and practice, the institute has adequate residential facilities. The on campus hostel accommodations are in close proximity to the institute and hospital. The boys’ hostel has 30 rooms and the girls hostel has 60 rooms accommodating candidates on a double occupancy basis. The mess is worked on cost sharing basis. Based on the opinion of the boarders, the mess committee will decide upon the menu which contain of both vegetarian and non vegetarian preparations. The hostel fees which contains the mess deposit, caution deposit, mess advance and the room rent will be collected at the time of admission.
