Gurudeva Institute of Science and Technology (GISAT) was started in the year 2010. It is run under Sree Narayana Guru Trust. The scenery of the surroundings creates an ideal atmosphere for learning and an eco-friendly environment for highly creative thinking as well as entertainment. Vennimala is depicted with various legends.
The main Motto of the Gurudeva college is, Enlightenment through Education.
The main Mission of the Gurudeva college is to Progress through education and emancipation for all students.
Gurudeva Institute of Science and Technology is located in a landscape of over 12 acres at a place called Vennimala. It is about an area over 10 km east of Kottayam town.
The concept of the campus design is taken up in such a way that, it will be one among the total designed campuses in India, which can attract foreign universities to conduct their courses.

LIBRARY:
The main pride of the institution is the central library which is highly caters to the instable and best knowledge thirst of the voracious readers. It provides a serene atmosphere for deeper and highly concentrated study. The library has been fully automated, Open Access System which is followed and Online Public Access Catalogue service is made available to all staff members and students. The Gurudeva college has an institutional membership with IEEE, ASTM, J-GATE.
TRANSPORTATION:
A fleet of buses are plying from far flung areas of Kottayam and nearby districts for the convenience of students.

Scholarship is available for students (M.Tech) with valid GATE Score at the rate of Rs.8, 000/-(Rupees Eight thousand only) per month for the total period of 24 months subject to the following conditions-
Each student shall undertake over 8 to 10 hours of work per week which is related to teaching and research activities as assigned by the institutions.
The candidates must secure first class or equivalent during the first semester examination to become highly eligible for continuance of scholarship.
The student shall give an undertaking to the effect that one will not leave the course midway or appear for any competent examination not related to Engineering and Technology.
The candidates shall not receive any emoluments, salary, stipend etc from any other source during the course of study.
SC/ST candidates will be eligible for stipend as per Kerala State Government Rule.
