MGM College of Engineering and Technology, is named after the Holy Kings of Piravom Valiyapally is situated on a green serene hillock of over 11 acres by the side of Piravom Road. The MGM College is run by Geevarghese Yohannan Charitable Trust. It started functioning in September 2011. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education. The MGM college is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The College is certified by ISO 9001:2008.

The Institution povides B.Tech. Course programs in five branches namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical. The annual intake is over 300 with 60 seats in each discipline till the year 2013-2014. From 2014 onwards the intake of Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are almost 120 each. The main vision of Institution is to develop the College as a Centre of best excellence for moulding globally competent professionals, with refined attitudes, in Technology and Management. It is Around 100 highly well qualified Faculty and Staff members drawn from diverse heritages and well dedicated senior and experienced Technology Gurus form our Intellectual Wealth. The natural and human bond with parents adds strength for the Institution.
